Role Summary

Role for Medical Advisor- East Zone (Kolkata ) for Metabolics

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities
Scientific Engagement and Interaction with Health Care Professionals (HCP)

• Provide and discuss scientific information/data with healthcare professionals to ensure quality and accuracy of medical and scientific information on new treatment options, including Biocon Biologics Limited products and selected areas of therapeutic interest.
• Liaise and provide up-to-date medical support to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop professional relationships, build advocacy and gain contributions of thought leaders and decision makers.
• Participate in the selection of appropriately qualified physicians as speakers of medical education in round table meetings (RTMs) and other scientific programs.
• Collaborate with clinical research teams, advise/recommend potential investigators for various studies
• Conceptualize, initiate & manage the implementation of Phase IV/Real world data generation, analyses and publication(s).
• Facilitator/speaker in Advisory Board/Scientific Expert meetings/national and international conferences/scientific session related to Biocon's brands/TA.
• New Product evaluations for portfolio expansion.
• Support in Central/state Market access projects.
• Medical Education for HCPs.
• Provide valid scientific response to all the Medical queries from the customers regarding the products and therapy area involved.
• Maintain high ethical standards of work in daily operations & contribute proactively to a clean & scientific image for Biocon in the community

Internal Support/Information Management/Insights

• Participate in relevant meetings/conferences of scientific societies and prepare summaries of key messages for utilization within the organization such as key areas of scientific/company interest, new trends in diagnosis, monitoring and treatments in the therapeutic area, etc.
• Gather doctor insights and share with internal teams in a timely manner.
• Support internal team areas to develop their scientific and technical expertise through the delivery of scientific update presentations.
• Provide medical support and training (i.e., disease state and product) to Biocon Biologics Limited colleagues.
• Collaborate with Medical Advisors/Medical Teams and other cross-functional groups (i.e., Clinical Development/Operations Teams (local and global studies), Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Quality Compliance
• Medical support to launch new products in the Indian and Emerging Markets (Latam, META). Conduct scientific sessions during briefing meetings.
• Sharing updates and knowledge within the Medical Affairs and MSL teams, as well as with other colleagues in the CDMA department.

Educational Qualifications

Required Education Qualification: MD
Required Experience: 4 - 8 years
