Description



The global Employee Communications and Change Manager will be dedicated to drive stronger engagement and opening up lines of communication with current and potential employees through managing the internal communications; helping launch Human Resources programs and initiatives; and crafting HR-related messages. This position will work closely with the CHRO, OD, and HRBPs in the development and execution of strategic employee engagement initiatives that drives a culture of excellence.
The incumbent is responsible to promote a positive organizational culture and will be primarily responsible for the creation and execution of internal employee engagement and Human Resources communications campaigns in collaboration with marketing, and employees throughout the organization to drive employee awareness and engagement by creating initiatives that promote the key objectives of the organization.
This position will also focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. They will act as a coach for senior leaders as they help their direct reports through transitions. They will also support project teams in integrating communication and change management activities into their project plans.



Roles & Responsibilities


  • Draft and consolidate a global internal communication plan for APLL. Liaise with the different functional leaders to develop and manage the content plan for internal communication in line with strategic and operational requirements. Manage internal communications projects alongside stakeholders.
  • Build a consistent internal branding that supports consistent messaging. Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communication channels for communicating with managers and people internally, ensuring the alignment of internal and external messages and communications. This includes internal organization announcement or corporate messages.
  • Liaise with Marketing and develop consistent external employer branding. Manage all related platforms including LinkedIn and other recruitment portals.
  • Develop communication guidelines and improve the skills on APLL managers and leaders.
  • Lead the design, structure, and upkeep of Bridge (intranet) to increase the user experience and accessibility.
  • Develop clear messaging to communicate corporate values and a clear value proposition both internally and externally.
  • Develop guidelines for internal newsletters and develop structured communication platform to ensure employees are receiving regular updates on critical activities and events in the company.
  • Support the development of internal employee surveys, including Employee Engagement and Experience surveys and other feedback tools.
  • Lead all relevant communications related to Employer of Choice participation, including internal external branding and media relationship.
  • Liaise with marketing to develop internal presentation materials and coach managers in drafting clear messages.
  • Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative. Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
  • Partner with change leadership teams to leverage employee communications as part of the change management process.




Qualification


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant professional experience, (with relevant professional qualification)
  • Change management certification or designation desired




Requirements


  • Previous experience of internal communications, preferably gained in an organization undergoing change. Preferably experience with large-scale organizational change effort.
  • Experience of working closely with HR and Senior colleagues and strong experience of building networks and relationships to deliver results.
  • Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to influence and handle sensitive situations, maintaining confidentiality, where necessary.
  • IT skills including use of social media, content management, word processing, spreadsheets, email, image editing.
  • Good judgement and ability to interpret information.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage own workload effectively but also to be flexible and adapt/respond to emerging issues, short deadlines and other demands or challenges.
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.




Key Result Areas


  • Development and delivery of an effective communication strategy.
  • Feedback from annual survey and feedback from employees.
  • Feedback from functional leaders on the support and coaching provided to support internal communications.
  • Measure the impact of the change process and ensure that continued reinforcement opportunities exist to build proficiencies.
  • Results from external market surveys including Employer of Choice and other branding surveys.
