About The Role

Boston Scientific is seeking a IAM MANAGER I within the Cybersecurity Architecture group under the CISO organization reporting directly to the Director of Cybersecurity A&E. The role is responsible for the planning, building, delivery and support of the IAM program. The IAM lead will provide direction and guidance to the development, specifications, and communications of the IAM application and architecture, as well as provide in-depth technical consultation to the business units and IT management and assist in developing plans and direction for the integration of information security requirements.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Owns Identity and Access capabilities and their features from both a strategic and technical execution perspective.
  • Drive the corporate strategy for identity features including user provisioning, multi-factor authentication (MFA), API authentication, Privileged Access Management (PAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), on-premise Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), and ADFS in Azure.
  • Manages the IAM team and co-ordinates with the onsite leads and help build the globalized offshore/onshore teams.
  • Leads all facets of the IAM program - IGA, PAM and cIAM/wIAM
  • Engage directly with internal customers to understand needs and validate priorities.
  • Lead the program to define requirements and drive implementation of automated account provisioning, validation, and anomalous account detection.
  • Develop and improve processes and workflows related to the identity lifecycle including user provisioning and de-provisioning, management of identity and licensing groups, granting, and removing system and application access, and account termination, with a focus on efficiency, security, effectiveness, and improving the user experience.
  • Execute IAM technology roadmaps and validate deliverables align with business requirements
  • Manage team responsible for privileged account management (PAM) technologies, password vaulting and controls, and remote access for vendors and consultant.
  • Lead design and development resources in executing on IAM initiatives.
  • Work with Information technology groups to develop and improve device access controls, including policies, conditional access, MDM/MAM, application access and device security.
  • Work with infrastructure technology groups and review and improve process and security controls related to Azure AD, Active Directory, security, AADConnect and other access security technologies.
  • Develop and use metrics and data analysis to drive informed decisions, and to clearly communicate necessary information to senior management.
What we're looking for:

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Security or IT related field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in Information Systems - Identity and Access Management
  • 3+ years' experience managing and leading teams and people
  • Technical Proficiency - Hands on experience or working knowledge of most of the following security functions: multifactor authentication, identity and access control systems, identity governance systems, privileged access management, physical access control systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, patch management, Windows domain security, PKI infrastructure, encryption, incident response, and digital forensics.
  • Analytical Abilities - Analytical and information gathering skills allow for effective assessment of business risks and exposures. Problem-solving skills including working collaboratively with peer technical teams to resolve cross-platform problems or to develop security risk solutions.
  • Business Knowledge - Understands the security risks associated to key business functions and possible means of exposures that could jeopardize each area.
  • Communication skills - Strong verbal & written communication skills. Communications are complete & understandable to target audience. Demonstrates effective listening skills.
  • Independence - Works independently with only general direction; appropriately keeps management informed of relevant issues.
  • Administration - Handles some routine daily administrative tasks associated with data security and specific project assignments including creating documentation and risk assessments.
Additional Qualifications:
  • MBA or similar advanced degree preferred
  • Certifications preferred but not required CISSP, CISM, CISA, SANS, CCNA
