Overview

This role will provide both people and program leadership in the Master Data space and will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and global business users to deliver master data domains through innovative, data and analytics solutions. This individual will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and execution of an Advanced master data strategy for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide project and product management for the existing domains and new investments that will generate business value.
• Manage and support existing master data products and drive optimization of support processes.
• Technical leadership and oversight of global master domain solutions and data integrations with cross-functional platforms such as SAP, Salesforce.com, and homegrown internal systems
• Key contributor to the creation and execution of the Master data strategic and tactical roadmaps.
• Analyzes the needs of master domains for functional departments, divisions and regions and establishes detailed level objectives, goals, and priorities for implementing IT solutions
• Provide management and strategic direction of product teams and employees assigned under them.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional, governance and technical teams to provide strategic direction to global groups and serve as an advocate to promote the benefits of master data and capabilities.
• Promote and support principles and standards of the enterprise master data architecture and technologies.
• Identifies innovative uses of Technology to provide a competitive advantage in cloud master data space for Boston Scientific.

Additional Responsibilities

• Oversight of end-to-end architecture and data integrations including enhancements and operational support.
• Provides oversight and input to requirements/user story analysis, effort estimation, and project planning.
• Promotes simplified integrations and core master data solutions with a business process first approach.
• Collaborate with Data Architects and Product teams to the overall master data strategy and decision flow.
• Support the development of integration systems according to the IT methodology, SOP\'s, and team guidelines.
• Maintains validated systems within the master data scope in accordance with internal software validation procedures and compliance to external controls such as SOX 404, GDPR, etc.
• Oversees and provides guidance for solutions to complex technical problems by challenging traditional methods.

Lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and drive those practices throughout the organization.

• Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
• May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, related technical degree
• 3+ years\' experience in managing people, 5+ years\' experience in associated Master data tools
• Strong technical background with Master data platforms, integrations, and exposure to data warehousing
• Proven experience with Informatica MDM, IDQ, EDC, AXON with master data domain implementations projects in cloud and on-premise
• Experience managing program financials, operational budgets, vendor relationships, contracts and negotiations.
• Experience with software development life cycle, Waterfall, Agile and Dev/Ops methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to clearly communicate with management, business leaders and senior leadership in both written and oral communication.
• Ability to communicate highly technical solutions to business partners at their level of technical understanding.
• Excellent organizational skills, experience leading large development teams and strategic initiatives.
• Able to work on a team in person and in a collaborative virtual setting; self-motivated, self-directed, adaptable.
• Ability to produce high quality results under tight time constraints.
• Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations.
• Proven experience working in a regulated environment with quality systems with strong documentation skills.
