Job Description

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with specialist legal subject skills in commercial law and regulatory matters pertaining the renewable energy sector. Would be assisting the legal team in providing pro-active, cost-efficient, legally sound, solution-oriented and practical advice to functional areas encompassing Business Development, Contracts & Procurement, Projects, Greenko Asset Management, and any new ventures that Greenko may undertake which will require commercial contracting efforts and active legal support. Your work will include reviewing construction and supply Agreements, EPC Agreements, power purchase agreements, storage agreements, term sheets & MOUs, NDAs, and other typical contracts used by the renewable energy industry. Drafting of and responding to notices with third party contractors will form a key part of your role. Will be required to provide legal support to other areas, viz. Project / Corporate Finance, HR, Litigation and Admin functions. You will, from time to time, actively support the legal department in managing any litigation or contentious matters. Should have the skill and the experience in coordinating independently with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel. Should need to possess relevant experience in at some or all the following areas: Construction and EPC Agreements, O&M Agreements; Disputes relating to EPC and O&M, Power Purchase Agreements in the energy / renewable energy sector; Good drafting skills is a necessity, rather than a preference. You need to possess good English written and oral communication skills with an eye for detail Prior in-house renewable energy sector experience and / or experience in supporting the Disputes practice (or alternatively, experience in independently drafting notices and other correspondence with third-party contractors) will be well regarded.
