JOB SUMMARY Responsible for all post order engineering and pre order technical support to Sales & Tendering. Oversees all duties associated with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and bills of materials, such as creation, structure, verification, revision, distribution and archiving. Oversees creation and management of Engineering Change Notices (ECN). Ensures generation of engineering documents in timely manner to support production and procurement team. May also use technology to support analysis, diagnosis, and repair work. Specialist in disciplines such as general Mechanical Engineering, Reverse Engineering, Solidworks and Drafting. This position will report into our joint venture Clyde Pumps India Pvt Ltd and will be based at our Ghaziabad manufacturing location.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, organize and direct the engineering function which ensure the most effective return on assets.
• Initiative plans and processes which minimize costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital. Assure attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while ensuring product standards that will exceed customers’ expectations.
• Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, depending on need.
• Encourage use of new techniques and focus on fact-based problem solving.
• Manage and coordinate all duties associated with Engineering drawings and bills of materials; such as creation, structure, verification, revision, distribution and archiving.
• Supervising team and associated activities to achieve project deadlines, delivered with desired quality and efficiency.
• Work on refurbishment of OEM products through mechanical upgrades and retrofit options to improve performance and efficiency.
• Analyze the performance data and the physical condition of the existing/returned parts to identify operational issues and provide design solutions to overcome these issues.
• Work on replacement and reverse engineering of parts for existing equipments ensuring the fit and function of the original part are maintained.
• Develop innovative and cost-effective mechanical designs using standard procedures, engineering knowledge and experience.
• Interface with, and support, downstream activities for manufacturing, service, all post design phase (production, test, commissioning and warranty).
• Develop drawings and BOM using Inventor, Solidworks, AutoCAD etc.
• Raising indent/RFQ for all the items as per the BOM along with component QAP , in line with customer’s technical specification.
• Submission of documents as per customer’ Vendor document requirement list as per committed timeline.
• Timely resolution of queries raised by vendors & customer on submitted documents i.e. RFQs, Drawings, data sheets , calculation , procedures .
• Oversee creation and management of Engineering Change Notices (ECN). Ensure that engineering deliverables are made in a timely manner in order to support production & procurement.
• Liaise with production, testing, field service engineers/technicians during order execution.
• Responsible for development and maintenance of departmental procedures and policies in compliance with industry related, and/or Company policies and guidelines.
• Assessing, planning and delivering training needs to deepen and broaden the technical capability of the Engineering Team, mentoring and supporting Team members as required

• 10+ years of experience in API pump design engineering function.
• Thorough knowledge of API 610 and other related API standards.
• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes, machine design, fluid mechanics, metallurgy, industry codes Knowledge of pump manufacturing and pump testing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer specifications, safety rules, Design concepts/layouts, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Experience in issuing BOM, RFQ, drawings, engineering documentation.
• Strong computer skills with expertise, AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid works, MS Excel, Word, Power point and other engineering related software / applications.
• Experience in aftermarket engineering process and project management related to Industrial products
• Strong interpersonal skills for communicating thoughts and ideas.
• Willingness and confidence to communicate (written and presentation) with a professional and knowledgeable approach and manner to all levels, including Senior Management, shop-floor as well as Customer and Supplier representatives.

• BE / BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 10+ years’ experience in API Pump industry.
• Practical understanding and application of Mechanical Engineering principles for industrial product design.
• Working experience as a Mechanical Engineer for industrial rotating equipment and associated packaging (centrifugal pumps as per API 610).
• 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory position managing a technical team of Designers/drafters with accountability of team key performance metrics (OTD, Quality, Efficiency).
• Knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, ProE, Inventor, Solidworks) and other engineering software / applications
