Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage the accounting operations of our construction company. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements specific to the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and oversee daily accounting operations including ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries. Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures for various construction projects. Manage payroll processing and related statutory compliance (PF, TDS, GST, etc.). Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting. Ensure compliance with taxation laws, audits, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors during audits and inspections. Identify process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA (Inter) or equivalent is preferred. Minimum 5-8 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or real estate industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, construction project costing, and statutory compliance. Proficient in accounting software (Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
