About the Role: Leader in the quality organization, responsible for managing the development quality team for Lifestyle Automotive Audio Division. The Development Quality Manager will play a key role which requires the passion to drive quality to meet customer quality requirements for assessments and certifications, including a drive towards ASPICE Level 2. The individual must be a strong advocate for First-Time Quality and Flawless Program Execution. Main responsibility: oversight and install best practices in our program execution for Software Quality and Process Compliance to ensure the best results, continually reducing the cost of poor quality (COPQ). The position requires managing the Development Quality team, who focus on ensuring quality of products for OEM automotive audio processing products, including amplifiers. Your Team: Approx 8-10 directs located in China, India and Mexico, with team growth likely expected. What You Will Do Managerial:
  • Perform all the People-Lifecycle activities \xe2\x80\x93 Target Setting, Talent Assessment, Development Plans, Succession Planning, and Performance Review \xe2\x80\x93 for all the team members.
  • Drive and supervise the entire Hiring, On Boarding and Leave processes, being responsible for the engineers joining or leaving the team.
  • Report to the Line Manager about the organizational status of the team, including changes in the team membership and structure, changes in the employment terms of any team-members and any risks related to the team.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activity of the team, ensuring the team members are able to work at their maximum potential, with the highest focus and according to established priorities.
  • Involvement in budget planning, resource leveling, team training activities.
  • Champion continued learning and training for your team.
Program/Project Specific Responsibilities:
  • Be aware and ensure awareness within the team about the quality requirements, planning and milestones of the projects established by the CPM/BU stakeholders in agreement with the End-Customer, driving the team\xe2\x80\x99s activity accordingly.
  • Coach CPM/BU teams in aspects of ASPICE/BMS (Business Management System)
  • Provide estimate planning for quality activities.
  • Participate in RFQ and RFI representing quality and Quality Excellence Organization and addressing customer quality requirements in the RFQ reports.
  • Address and respond to any quality escalations related to the activity and results of the engineers from the team.
  • Drive any necessary reallocation and balancing of the human and material resources available in the team to ensure execution and delivery according to the expectations agreed with the CPM/BU stakeholders.
  • Report to the Line Manager and CPM/BU stakeholders about the execution status including results, deliveries and impediments/risks encountered in the team activity.
  • Prepare/Review monthly reports for programs.
  • Ensure the preventive quality aspects in projects from RFQ until SOP+90 days.
  • Perform / support \xe2\x80\x9elessons learned \xe2\x80\x9c, 8-Ds and 5-Whys to ensure process and program execution improvements.
  • Perform Maturity Level assurance of running projects (Corrections in case of deviations, escalations in the different project phases). Tracking of Product-Quality-Gates
  • Moderation of workshops to prepare reliability prediction of running projects.
  • Ensure the process adherence according to the HARMAN process landscape, driving first-time quality initiatives within region.
  • Perform internal audits and assessments as necessary.
What You Need
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electronics or similar
  • >3 years in direct managerial/supervisor role
  • >5 years of experience in responsible position in SW projects, preferably in a global environment
  • QA Knowledge (ISO/TS, ASPICE)
  • Functional Safety knowledge (ISO 26262, IATF 16949)
  • Customer focus
  • Able to work independently in a structured way.
  • Good social skills and confidence
  • Excellent written and verbal in English
What is Nice to Have
  • Proficient in use of software development lifecycle tools, including DOORS, JIRA, IBM-ALM, QLIK etc.
  • Experience with development tools for static analysis, unit testing code reviews, code coverage is highly recommended.
  • Certification in ASPICE or CMMi
  • Knowledge of ASIL levels and requirements in SW planning for FuSa.
  • Effective Problem-Solving Skills
