Roles and Responsibilities Experienced senior Network core engineer is needed within 3rd level support group on STP and DRA for
Voice and Packet Core services. Candidates will have proven expertise in managing a network
environment across numerous geographical locations. Candidate should be experienced in advanced
network deployment and support in a multi-vendor environment.
Extremely strong logical skills and the ability to manage many faults and/or deployments at the same
time is critical. Strong accountability, analytical, process, organizational and communication skills are a
must in this role.
Unix /linux knowledge.

b) Major Activities:
  • Provide Tier-3 support to multiple Network Operation Center (NOC) and stations across the globe.
  • Working on proactive & reactive complaints/cases raised by L1 /L2 teams.
  • Troubleshoot equipment (servers) and service failures.
  • Follow up with vendor for software bugs and equipment faults/failures.
  • Own & drive Planned maintenance for the responsible Mobility Platform during changes/new service
deployment.
  • Manage new initiatives/opportunities that may involve coordination between different cross functional
teams like Engineering, L2, Vendors, etc.
  • To enable the capabilities to deliver on our SLA commitment and help the on-boarding of major
accounts (for growth and retention).
  • Investigation & providing temporary/permanent fix/solution of add-hoc scenarios wherever
applicable.
  • Provide clear and concise reasoning/RFO wherever applicable.
  • Vulnerability assessment & implementing fix or coordinating with associated team for applying fix &
ensure platform availability during /after such major activities by CFT.
  • Performing Monthly Health check for the platform,
  • Extracting & publishing monthly reports for the equipment.
  • Validating MOP and accuracy for production changes.
  • Communicating efficiently with cross functional teams.
  • Provide internal trainings.
  • Work very closely with engineering teams.
  • Document all relevant processes and procedures.
  • Carry out ATP prior to any software upgrades.
  • Performing Software Upgrades of the Mobility platforms.
  • Knowledge of Unix/linux shell scripting.
  • Contributions on the Automation for ease of service assurance.
  • Ensuring quick & full support during on-call responsibility.
  • 24 X7 availability on rotation within team.

II) Person Specification:
a) Essential Qualifications: Graduation in Electronics and Telecom Engineering
b) Requisite Skills:
Technical Working experience of 2G, 3G, 4GLTE technologies and basic knowledge on 5G

Core.
Expert knowledge of Signaling Network Nodes (STP and DRA).
Expert knowledge of signaling protocols SS7, SIGTRAN, Diameter, SIP.
Must have very good knowledges of Voice and Mobile technologies and
knowledge on IP, CCNA, AWS certification would be preferred.
Need working experience on Linux/Unix, Scripting, Database, Restful APIs, Cloud
services. Relevant certification will be preferred.
Understanding of the MVNE and MVNO services with customer interactions skills.

Functional Expert knowledge of Signaling Network Nodes (STP and DRA).
Expert knowledge of signalling protocols SS7, SIGTRAN, Diameter, SIP.
Good understanding of the Linux/Unix, Scripting and Cloud based services.
