Summary of Position:

Alcon is looking to hire a Manager-Customer Development. Product/Brand Marketing work is focused on identifying target customers and customizing marketing messages/media channels/strategies to maximize product/brand appeal including: \xe2\x80\xa2Conducting research to define targeted customer segments and determine the key values that drive buying behavior for each segment \xe2\x80\xa2Developing brand/product positioning, associated marketing themes, and media channels that align with target customer demographics (e.g., company website, social media, publications, email, radio/TV, face-to-face, etc.) \xe2\x80\xa2Developing and implementing marketing strategies (e.g., advertising, informational webinars/blogs, direct marketing, trade shows/public events, online/in-store promotions, business customer relationship building, etc.) \xe2\x80\xa2Overseeing development and distribution of marketing materials \xe2\x80\xa2Ensuring customer experience is in line with brand image and strategy \xe2\x80\xa2Monitoring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns & tactics

Key Responsibilities:

The role has 2 core purposes \xe2\x80\x93Connect consumer marketing efforts to the relationships and investments made on the category with trade and customers across different channels \xe2\x80\x93 Independent Outlets, NKAs, RKAs, NR & E-Commerce Lead Sales Development effort in defining Sales & Commercial Operating Procedures, Information Systems & Driving Sales Force Effectiveness metrics through the field teams

  • Design, customize, implement and own key growth driving initiatives at a trade level by managing the levers of geography, brand, channel on the axes of activation, expansion & efficiency Act as an interface between Sales and Marketing.
  • Translate marketing strategy into trade / field actionable elements - Work closely with Marketing Team to define & deliver launch / relaunch / distribution / activation objectives Lead definition of Key Sales Operating Processes like Distributor & Secondary Sales Management Process, MIS Design, BPA & Scheme Design, KPI Definition & Tracking processes etc.
  • In consultation with National Sales Manager & Field Teams Drive deep sales analytics and develop appropriate strategies & actions basis the same, both on Leading Indicators (SFE Metrics & Sales KPIs) and Lagging Indicators (Sales Revenue & Market Share) Anchor development IT and non-IT tools for enabling feet on street with Commex & IT Teams Work with the NKAM to prepare JBP design, Pricing details, activity calendar etc. for key accounts & e-commerce customers Act as Key Custodian for Sales Commercial Activities \xe2\x80\x93
  • New distributor appointment, on-boarding, retention and attrition control
  • Sales spends (BPA, Schemes etc.) & Secondary Claims Processing; liaising with Finance, Legal, Sales Operations etc. to enable smooth flow of the same
  • Liaison with cross-functional teams like Finance & Legal to ensure compliance and vendor / customer management Supervise creation of relevant modules / training partnerships for internal & extended sales team \xe2\x80\x93 in collaboration with HR, Training & Professional Affairs

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate preferably with an MBA/marketing Diploma or equivalent
  • English, Hindi, other local dialects
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience
  • Min. 5-7 year Sales experience in Vision Care / FMCG / Retail / Telecom / OTC industries. Prior Marketing / Trade Marketing / Customer Marketing / Sales Development experience will be an advantage.
