Responsibilities

The role incumbent as Manager will be responsible for the supervision of credit analysts performing comprehensive counterparty risk assessment of Large Global Organizations, propose internal risk rating, justify limits and mitigants, and submit a written recommendation for approvals to risk department. The role also involves ensuring quality is achieved as expected for assigned region /portfolio.

Functional -

  • Good understanding of rating methodologies
  • Good understanding of various legal agreements (term sheet, Credit Agreement, ISDA & CSA, GMRA, GMSLA, SBLC agreement)
  • Sector specialization (for eg: oil & gas, real estate, airlines, automobiles, telecom, banks, insurance)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of market data tools like Thomson Reuters, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, SNL, etc.

Profile required

Responsible for credit analysis and management of US Large Corporates portfolio/region and associated credit/team related tasks. Provide support individually and act as a team lead in achieving the following:
  • Preparing high quality risk analysis of large global counterparties to assess their credit quality, proposing internal risk ratings, recommending appropriate limits (funded, non-funded, hedging and settlement), and negotiating / reviewing legal terms and conditions.
  • Assessing the counterparty risk of large global organizations in terms of credit risk, replacement risk, and delivery risk based on quantitative & qualitative data.
  • Achieve and maintain intimate credit / business/ industry knowledge of assigned clients in order to facilitate new business development and to mitigate credit surprises and possible losses.
  • Assure Annual Reviews and obligor risk ratings of assigned portfolio are done within prescribed timelines.
  • Assure post approval activities and other credit related tasks are completed on time, and update trackers / onshore folders on a real time basis.
  • Manage and supervise projects for the team. Organize the team's set up to be able to provide service with optimized cost.
  • Interact regularly with onshore stakeholders on deliverables and timelines and deliver as per expectations. Liaising with various other internal and external stakeholders (such as relationship bankers, KYC, operations, legal and syndication agents).
  • Evaluating / negotiating various loan / legal agreements such as Term Sheet, Credit Agreements, ISDA & CSA, GMRA, GMSLA, and SBLC Agreements to assess loan structure and accordingly propose credit terms and conditions as necessary to comply with SG policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and credit policies. Implement all changes to the credit policies & guidelines (basically all analysts to incorporate the recent changes - sources of repayment, Specific triggers, new template, etc)
  • Participate in transformation and process improvement/automation initiatives in the team and contribute towards building/updating SOPs and training materials.
  • Meet productivity and quality metrics agreed between GLBA/CRE and GSC. Develop performance management / KPI metrics and report periodically to stakeholders
  • Assure periodic MI reports and Admin tasks are performed on time
  • Ensure the teams' development and training needs are addressed to maintain high service level and team motivation.
  • Actively participate in expansion of service to other GLBA/CRE locations and sectors
  • Ensure appropriate internal controls are put in place and monitored regularly to cover operational, financial and legal risks.
  • Ensure complete adherence of the team members to the risk control and information security procedures.
  • Drive the adoption/Use of Stella and TINA for credit analysis. Upskill self and team to Incorporate ESG analysis in the credit application.
  • Continually evaluating improvements to efficiency and productivity through automation and innovation
  • Actively participate in expansion of service to other GLBA/CRE locations and sectors. Ensure timely onboarding of the right skill set to meet growth plans / replacement.
