Experience - 6-9 Years

Location: Ahmedabad

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Key deliverable will be based at the warehouse/ manufacturing facility and work with the warehouse and manufacturing operations team and report to the head office for cost accounting and inventory controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Cost Accounting & Inventory Control - Ownership of all the cost manufacturing and cost accounting-related records

- Ensure that the correct weighted average cost at the style code level is reflected in the financial accounting system including coordination with the technology team if required.

- Tracking absorption of the direct and indirect overheads and maintaining a tracker/ audit trail of the adjustments to the product cost and closing stock (if any).

- Tracking of Inventory movement at each stage of manufacturing including job work activity - Tracking of each inwards and outwards from the warehouse and ensuring it should be updated and reflected in the accounting software

- Maintaining cost accounting records as per the applicable laws

- Ensure review of the internal processes and inventory health periodically, identify risks and highlight the same to the regional and corporate management through standard and exception reports Reporting & Statutory Compliances and Risk Controls

- Based at the regional office for Single point of contact to the Corporate Office for the finance function and business-related updates.

- SOP preparation, periodic review, and ensuring that these are adequate and operating effectively related to warehousing and manufacturing.

- Timely submission of vendor invoices to the accounting team

- Reporting/ resolution of shortages/ excess during inwards

- Coordination for internal audits including bank and stock audits.

- Coordination for statutory compliances and maintaining the tracker.

- Repository of all financial records at the regional office

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

- Cost Accountant with 6-8 years of relevant experience

- Experience of working in a retail ecosystem would be an added advantage.

- Ability to work in an unstructured environment and set up systems and processes from scratch is a must

- Good communication skills and ability to represent the organization externally.

- A candidate with the ability to efficiently manage Stakeholders (Internal and external)
