Job Family Definition:

The Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems.

Brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions.

Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements.

The Cloud Developer provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.

Management Level Definition:

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving common and complex business/technical issues within established policies. Manages non-exempt/exempt individual contributors and/or supervisors. Has accountability for results of a major program in terms of cost, direction and people management. Provides guidance on process improvements and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility. Plans, manages and monitors operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' work may involve strategic issues. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Typically reports to MG2 or Director.

Additional guidance/criteria:

• Manages and controls activities within a single country or a sub-region which is part of a larger geographical Region.
• Manages at least 8 employees and typically between 8 and 15 direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.

What you'll do:

The candidate should be:

• Experienced in Project planning and delivery in Cloud domain with development experience in GoLang/Java/C++/Python/shell scripts

• Exposure to contract tests and Grafana/Prometheus tool chain

• Exposure to various public & private cloud, such as AWS or Azure.

• Should possess good knowledge of hypervisors such as ESX/Hyper-V/KVM.

• Good to have (Hands-on experience): VMware, AWS, Virtual networking, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes

• Should be able to work in a fast-paced, iterative development methodology (Agile-SCRUM).

• Domain Knowledge: Data Protection/Storage (Backup and recovery)

• Knowledge about Microservices architecture, Kubernets, Containers, Docker, AWS Infra, Cloud cost optimizations.

• Good to have: knowledge on various hardware such as switches, servers, storage etc.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivery of microservices for AWS/Azure cloud in data protection domain.

Handle customer escalations with a team of engineers.

Work with Product Management team to identify future road map items

Implement/Refine development process to ensure highest quality levels.

• Hire and Develop teams in cloud domain

What you need to bring:

Experience: 12 years+

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
