Role description Position Overview Position Title Applications API program manager Department Data Governance Level / Band 401 / Manager Role Summary: Coordinate and work with other technical staff to develop applications API (REST, Web) programing, coding standards and development using .Net. Cloud, Micro-services and Java script is responsible for data engineering and deliverables which includes cloud and microservices solution designing including various frameworks. Responsible for developing and maintaining applications with cutting-edge data analytics, data lake platforms, IT infrastructures, the design and architect applications using microservices, architecture, optimize processes and define the strategies. Strong understanding with technical integration technologies such as API operations, XML, JSON & streaming architecture concepts as well as another web and database technology. Experience building java-based public/private cloud solutions for large-scale enterprises. Experience in API based automation frameworks, scripts and exposure to Python coding. Design and implement systems, policies, and procedures to ensure effective availability, protection, and integrity of data assets. Understand existing systems and design and create models and/or changes to existing data stores. Identify data discrepancies and ensure the resolution of data quality issues, such as uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness in a cost-effective and timely fashion. Design and develop technical documentation, API design document, integration specifications, security and controls specifications Design and implement systems, policies, and procedures to ensure effective availability, protection, and integrity of data assets Design and manage API application data improvement and growth projects. Understand existing systems and design and create models and/or changes to existing data stores. Diagnose and resolve performance issues and efficiency issues. Identify data discrepancies and ensure the resolution of data quality issues, such as uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness in a cost-effective and timely fashion. Code REST API, developing enterprise grade api integration layer, web application using Dot Net technologies with C#, ASP.net, SQL Server/Oracle. Develop and enforce methods and validation mechanisms for ensuring data quality and accuracy at the point of entry. Mentor and provide leadership to teams Risk \'Own-up\' the risk of the function by developing a risk aware culture through participation in measurement, analysis and mitigation of risks associated with the respective function. This includes development of risk response processes, participation in contingency and business continuity programs and reporting of emerging risks with potential impacts. Also respond to risks highlighted by employees through formal / informal mechanisms and advice on various risk management issues within the organization and provide feedback. Participate in implementing risk mitigation plan through optimum resource allocation, monitoring and reporting on status.
