Role description Position Title AssistantManager - BI Manager Department BI & Analytics Role Summary: Business Intelligence - BI (technical) solutions delivery of all MIS Dashboards for all Tata AIA Life - across Digital, Consumers, Distribution, Operations, Risk, Finance, Compliance and Human Resource . Project / Release mgmt.. Design and develop solution to deliver in stipulated timelines using DevOps CI/CD Development of Design, and implementation of Power BI Dashboards, Scorecards & KPI Reports, Excel Power Queries & Power Pivots used by the organization and or partner/vendors Experienced in requirement gathering/analysis, design, development, testing, and production rollover of reporting and analysis projects, expertise in design and development of dashboards, extensively used Power BI features like Data transformations, Hierarchies, Groups, Sets, Table calculations, Calculated Fields, Filters, Parameters, Actions and Annotations to create informative and interactive dashboards Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with developers / data engineers / architect in the organization Orientation: Strong problem-solving skills: and an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Skills: Strong analytical and technical coding skills are the priority Process design and extensive data analysis skills and SQL skills Change management : Demonstrated ability to foster change and deliver business results using effective teamwork, communication and problem identification and resolution skills and ability to work under pressure Problem management: Knowledge of production support / problem management process. Exposure to work with ticketing system and working with SLAs. Apt knowledge of Power BI visualization capabilities. Strong ability to communicate ideas and concepts relating to data visualization Solid coaching skills to continuously develop staff core DAX development / data visualization / Power BI administration with vendors Knowledge of change & release management Focus on- Data Delivery Work on dashboard app modules- design, development,data sourcing, transformation and data visualization - planning - for below aspects a) Administer Power BI for business - Quickly grasp data sources and data flow architecture - Understand data lineage looking at packages - Visualize data - Able to administer data flow execution - Administer Power BI checks, controls and authorization b) Able to review existing dashboards with best practice and required optimization techniques with degree of parallelism, sequential dependencies and handling of anomalies or catching exceptions c) Exposure to data modeling techniques, understanding of data analytics in BFSI industry Other data / modeling (exposure to 6/8 is necessary) d) Dimensional data models (SCD types) e) Star & Snow Flake schema f) Data pipes & Changed data capture (CDC) g) Entity relationship h) Unstructured data analytics i) Testing and Validation of data flows j) Unit testing k) Power BI - PowerPivot & Power Query tools l) ML based data insights Data Base Management / Business Analytics . Track the key parameters and provide analytical insights Skills Required Technical Very Strong theoretical and practical Knowledge of DAX, data pipes, data flows, Power BI visualization, ML Insights MS SQL / Oracle SQL, Power BI Ms Excel , SQL High proficiency in Coding/Programming skills is a must Experience on large data sets Data visualization tools across various Platforms Incumbent Characteristics Essential Desired Qualification Graduate / PG with Professional Course and training / certifications on SQL, Power BI data visualization tools and Azure Prior strong experience in SQL based development / data warehouse working knowledge and implementation experience on same in financial industry is desirable Experience 6-8 years minimum Exposure to Microsoft Power BI, SSAS/SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Synapse environments is advantage Profiles from BFSI/Life Insurance sector shall be preferred
