Job Description

The Manager supervises a team of talented individuals to ensure continuous support to Associate analysts and Lead rating analysts, in publishing Credit Ratings and Research on portfolio of clients from Financial Institutions Group.

In addition to above, The Manager will:

• Work with team leads and onshore counterparts to ensure all processes are implemented efficiently, and effective controls are in place to guarantee Accurate, Timely delivery of all approved activities.
• Provide domain expertise on Financial statement analysis, Ratio analysis, and Trend analysis; Mentor tenured members of the team, in preparing Credit opinion (report writing) with guidance on updating Qualitative and Quantitative comments on Asset quality, Capital adequacy, Financial flexibility, Market position, Product diversification of the client
• Own the responsibility for quality/accuracy of the activities being performed by the team members
• Act as main contact point for team members to raise concerns and share ideas or suggestions
• Uses Lean/Agile techniques to increase the existing efficiencies in the process, in consultation with superiors
• Drive effective people management techniques, to maintain necessary performance of all team members, and retain best talent with rewards & recognitions/appreciations, placement of people as per skills and aspirations
• Conduct regular catch ups with team members to ensure performance standards are met, and team motivation is maintained appropriately
• Ensure adequate staffing, by coordinating with recruiters in hiring plan, participating in interviews, selecting best suited candidates
• Conduct performance reviews of team lead and all team members; explain career development paths or opportunities

• Post graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. additional qualification of CFA, FRM is a plus
• 7-9 years of relevant work experience required
• Prior experience in Fundamental research, Credit analysis, and Report writing is mandatory
• Good exposure of analysis on Insurance or Banking clients, preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products and particularly Excel, such as pivot tables, lookups, etc.
• Candidate must have the ability to quickly transition as priorities change to meet demands.
• Strong organizational, communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills are required to work as a team and for daily interaction with Moody\'s Analysts.
• Individual must be organized, dependable, able to multi-task and manage priorities, display initiative, and can work independently in a fast-paced environment
