The Role Responsibilities Job Role Effective management of Data is a regulatory obligation, an enabler of the Group\'s strategic priorities, and a foundation for building client trust aligned with our brand promise \'Here for good\'. By managing Data effectively, the Group can realise its ambition to be a data-driven organisation that leverages data and analytics to make business decisions and better serve our clients, including Enhanced personalised client experience, through data and analytics capabilities to generate an understanding of clients and their needs, and in turn improving our client offering. Driving more effective operational, compliance and conduct processes through machine learning and artificial intelligence Complying with regulatory expectations and laws on privacy, records management and data quality Failure to effectively manage Data may lead to adverse client outcomes, breaches of regulatory requirements that could attract regulatory scrutiny, and / or damage the Group\'s reputation Responsible Person [RP] is required to perform Control Testing pertaining to Data Management across the Risk and CFCC Process Universe against the 5 data risk types, specifically: \'Privacy\', \'Record Management\', \'Data Quality\', \'Data Sovereignty\' and \'Responsible AI\'. Perform the ORF Tests as prescribed by the Data Management (\'DM\'), RCFCC Global Process Owner (\'GPO\') in a timely manner and update the test results in the M7 system accordingly. Escalate to GBS Line Manager and Data Management GPO, any incidences of Data Breaches and / or ORF Exceptions / Process Gaps which warrants immediate attention from the DM GPO Management Team. Ensure agreed SLAs are met with all deliverables. Key Responsibilities Process - Perform Control Tests per the defined steps and provide accurate results to stakeholders. Design Control Assessment Standards - Support with any design or any applicable UAT as required. Control Migration - Perform trial runs and get acknowledgement from stakeholders. Department Operating Instructions - Maintenance of DOIs as and when amendments are required, and new controls come into place. Continuous Improvements - Identify and implement any automation opportunities which improves efficiency and reduces manual work. Ad-hoc requests - Support any Ad-hoc requests related to DM, RCFCC Processes. Liaise with Country / Group Operational Risk function and any other Group Assurance functions in operational risk related matters. Provide details / clarifications to Group 2nd LoD and 3rd LoD assurance teams as needed to support the GPO / PO teams. Support with various aspects of periodic operational risk reporting, metrics and dashboards. Thoroughly investigate issues and trends with attention to detail in order to provide accurate and comprehensive reporting. Actively contribute for the review of DM, RCFCC \'Risk and Controls Library\' and participate in the RCSA, Service review Meetings with Stakeholders, etc. Key Measurables Timely performance of the Control Tests, timely release of accurate and relevant reports to the stakeholders. Evidence that the control structure is well understood and aligned with significant exposures. Timely responses to changes in Local and Group Data Management environment and, Group / Country internal policies and standards with exposure to operational risk. Timely analysis, reporting and escalation of real or potential significant operational risk exposures. Strategy The purpose of RP is to assist Global Process Owner (GPOs) and / or RCFCC Process Owners (POs) to effectively manage operational risk within the first line of defence specifically against the data risks outlined in the Job Summary. The members must ensure that the sampling tests are conducted in accordance with Risk Management Framework, Group Operational Risk Policies and Procedures. To ensure error free work with Nil SLA Misses. Emphasis to Identify, assess, monitor, escalate and report operational risks from respective business scope to both business line managers and Unit Head in a timely manner. Ensure Individual Productivity targets are met / surpassed. Business The extent to which operational risk events and audit findings are surprises rather than having been identified as exposures. An acceptable and understood history of operational risk losses. An acceptable history of audit results and assurance outcomes. Processes Data Management, Risk and CFCCC Data Management covers Privacy, Records Management, Data Quality, Data Sovereignty and Responsible AI. There are approx. 18 Processes which are tagged to DM RCFCC, wherein there are 13 ERR processes, for which the ORF Checks are being prioritised. Subsequently, the DM ORF is scheduled to be rolled for the PU. People and Talent Display the appropriate culture and values. Work in collaboration with risk and control partners. Awareness and understanding of the Data Management framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role. Responsible for delivering \'effective governance\' capability to challenge fellow executives effectively and Willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner. Regulatory and Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Key Stakeholders DM, RCFCC Group Process Owner and Process owners Risk Framework Owner GOR, 2LoD and DM, GPO Management Onshore Counterparts Our Ideal Candidate Preferably Graduate / Postgraduate majoring in any stream. Experience in operational risk management or engineering processes and possess in-depth knowledge and problem-solving skills to function well in an Operations Risk role. Basic knowledge of risk management is essential, with in-depth knowledge and experience of Operational Risk and ORF. Prior extensive knowledge in Data Risk Management, Risk and CFCC would be a good-to-have. Experience in the banking industry, including demonstrated success in a similar role. Good Oral and Written communication. Advanced Excel skills.
