Job Description


Responsibilities Lead, and drive to implement Adani Safety standards, policies and procedures at site to build a proactive safety culture in the site to achieve ZERO Incidents. Collaborate with the Site Line managers to identified safety concerns/ UA/UC and timely closure of unsafe observations for sustained safety practices. Contractor Safety Management system: Onboarding the contractors through CSM process; Handhold them for safety adherence at site and comply with all the laid down standards. Competency development and training: Mandatory induction training to all the staff and contractor workmen, develop Job specific safety module and impart them, pursue SAKSHAM program contractor trainings. Developing health and safety procedures/guidelines and roll out to sites for effective implementation to achieve ZERO incidents. Recommending policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Participate and active involvement in effectively maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems. Take lead in facing the external audits and seek for continual improvement opportunities. Incident reporting as per group safety protocol to concerned authorities; conduct incident investigations & identify CAPA. Ensure horizontal deployment of CAPA actions in all other areas. Facilitate Line management function to effectively deliver their safety KRA\'s and their continuous engagement in improving safety standard the of their sites. Build good working relationships with project stakeholders. Coordinating safety training programs for employees to ensure they understand the hazards associated with their jobs. Conducting investigations to determine causes of accidents or incidents, recommending corrective action, and monitoring progress toward resolution Coordinating safety inspections of facilities or equipment to identify hazards, such as those related to electrical safety, Plants & Machineries, Work at height, fire risks logistics safety etc. Ensuring that General Conditions of Contract (GCC) are made available to contractors prior to bidding though collaboration with Techno commercial team. Developing and updating safety policies/ procedures to comply with government regulations and company standards. Evaluating the effectiveness of safety measures at sites to ensure compliance with Group Safety procedures. Developing and implementing safety training programs for new hires or existing employees, including identifying potential hazards, providing instructions on proper procedures, and ensuring employees understand the importance of their role in ensuring safety. Monitor & analyze data, carry out trend analysis, prepare reports (documents, presentations) and report on EHS performance to HOD- Safety as per defined frequency. Qualifications Qualification : B.Tech/B. E (Mechanical/ Electrical) or Diploma from AICTE approved institutes. Advanced/ Post Diploma in Industrial Safety from recognized institute Experience Candidate with at least 13-15 years of experience in Safety in EPC, Construction, Heavy Engineering and Infra projects, Power and Energy, Oil & Gas or in any other large scale project is preferred. Experience in working in renewable sector in similar role will be an added advantage.
