Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee/Assistant Manager, Record to Report!
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out general accounting operations and executing transactions of assigned financial accounts. The duties include maintaining the general ledger, record intercompany loans, Preparing reclass entries, and timely month-end close process and procedures in accordance with GAAP, preparing the monthly consolidation process of foreign subsidiaries and perform General Ledger account analysis. The accountant should possess thorough knowledge of Accounting Principles and practices, and ensure accurate, effective and efficient processes in accordance with established internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performance of the R2R Team which handles 80-85% of all R2R functions for the real estate client.
  • This role will be responsible for successful transition of the process and responsible for setting it up FTR (First Time Right).
  • Act as Subject Matter Specialist for the R2R processes, complete know how and understanding of the value chain. Experience of working with a real estate client will be a preference.
  • Manage and ensure that R2R processes meet expectations and produce desired outcomes.
  • Supporting Clients (Property Managers) on monthly reporting functions for Record to Report related activities related to various properties under his portfolio.
  • Supporting property Controllers on monthly financials, JE\'s, Budgets for properties under his purview.
  • Processes wire transfers, ACH etc. as per the guidance from Client (F.A. Supervisor).
  • Processes invoices, questionnaires, scans checks, lease abstracts & tenant escalations. Share the final outputs for review and approvals with client.
  • Managing Security processing for all tenants; deposits & refunds.
  • Preparing reclass entries based on account analysis of properties.
  • Preparing reversal of prior period accruals based on account analysis & aged accrual analysis at property level.
  • Aged accrual analysis to ensure timely reversal of accruals which are not valid as per business policy.
  • Pro-active inter group follow-ups and communication for resolution of open items.
  • Ensuring timely close post reconciliation of fixed asset clearing & cost in progress accounts
  • Preparation of GL Schedules / Reconciliation
  • Monthly, quarterly, annual roll forwards & internal reporting.
  • Ensure all close procedures are performed accurately.
  • Ensure the accounting systems are performing as designed to meet responsibilities and controls maintained.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all reports delivered for all entities and at the consolidated level.
  • Should be able to deal with clients for any query or information.
  • Independently work to resolve discrepancies with clients and departments or individuals throughout the firm.
  • Will be responsible to deliver the process improvements and transformation as committed as per the contractual obligations.
  • Establish effective relationship with different client partners through written and verbal communication.
  • Understanding of SLAs and implication of non-compliance
  • Coach & mentor Domain Specialist Trainee for them to manage their teams better and help them on their career pathing to succeed well in their roles.
  • Ensure team is trained on all corporate/process and skill-based trainings and knowledge retention and improvement in the team.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal customers in Genpact and very importantly with client in US \xe2\x80\x93 must be seen as a proactive, helpful teammate.
  • Client handling experience which includes providing process updates/ dashboards calls and responding of client partner concerns.
  • Result oriented (ability to prioritize & delegate) and a standout colleague.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
  • Relevant Accounting Experience
  • B. Com, M. Com, MBA, CA, CPA
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a major in Finance and Accounting.
  • Experience in Record to Report processes, prior experience of working with real estate client will be a preference.
  • Understanding of Yardi will be a preference.
  • Thorough knowledge of Related Parties Accounting, Subsidiary Accounting & Consolidation Accounting, Intangibles, Investments, Prepaid, Accruals, Allocations, Accounting for Leases, Month Close & Period End Accounting and Analysis, FX Accounting
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially in Advanced MS-excel knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal communication, Interpersonal, Analytical Skills & highly proactive in approach

  • Evening Shift: 5:30PM -2:30AM IST
