Why this role matters:

• The purpose of the Major Programme and Systems Specialist role is scoping and delivering new, complex, high business values projects having impact on global network and systems. This could be a single complex global/domestic network or systems transformational delivery or a portfolio of global network or systems deliveries across a work-stream. The global network operates across 198 countries and territories, with 3,400 multinational customers with multiple sites, using 5,200 points of presence.
• In this role sits the delivery of the multi-year System Automation and Transformation program for the Global Network. Special focus will be on the system stack for plan & build of the new platform GNV while managing and optimising the legacy system stack with the goal of going towards a zero-effort plan & build processes.

What and how you\'ll be doing:

• Central contact (Product Owner) of P&B system roadmap for the Global network platforms, responsible for exploring and collating user requirements to evolve global P&B system stack
• Central contact for Improvement, Transformation of P&B systems and their interfaces, working with various BOs, architects, e2e designers and Dev teams to enable automation of P&B processes
• Identifying and leading global projects and complex programs for P&B systems in Network Delivery, building Business Cases and executing to reach goals. Grasp opportunities to simplify/transform process across work area and across teams
• Ensuring the consistency with the business targets committed, managing priorities across different projects. Pre-empt issues and identify a resolution that ensures to tackle and solve contingencies. Run Post Investment Review where appropriate.
• Engage and manage the proper relationships, across multiple teams, with internal stakeholders and suppliers;
• Act as the primary point of contact for any escalation;
• Be responsible for matrix managing leading large multiple discipline virtual teams;
• Responsible to maintain up to date documentation of P&B systems in EDR, BT SECS, risk register, etc.,
• Host/Champion for System forum, Value stream process reviews and other calls with stakeholders on a regular base
• Systems in scope (Mainly): Vision-SRIMS, GS SRIMS-PIMS, GS WFMT, IMS (5 instances), RPACS, SIMSo8, netplan, FSL, NGSD/SN, STARS, Qlik, etc

Skills required:

• Storytelling with data - strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences.
• Solid understanding of system development from requirements to deployment (requirements, design, coding, testing) and profound understanding of involved process flows
• Sound knowledge of agile way of working & project management. Reporting - creation of reports that are useful, accurate and unambiguous
• Organised & detail orientated - Technical skills and strong understanding of incoming funding and how you manage the spend/costs throughout the year. Focus, manage and assess any financial/economical aspects pertaining network system transformation and the consequent impacts/benefits, coordinate and prioritize the widest range projects by focusing the operational and economical relationships between them;
• Stakeholder management - excellent networking skills with involved horizontal and vertical business lines within programs. As the person responsible for ensuring that we meet scorecard KPI\'s you\'ll need to work closely with other teams and challenge where necessary. Deploy/demonstrate the proper seniority in managing and formal and informal relationship in the BT organization and externally. Manage excellent relationships with dev teams based on own SW engineering/coding practice
