Job Summary

The General Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and carrying out day-to-day maintenance activities of the hotel property. The role requires hands-on technical expertise in electrical systems, air conditioning, plumbing, and basic carpentry to ensure smooth operations, safety, and guest comfort at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance across the hotel premises. Handle

electrical maintenance

including wiring, lighting systems, panels, switches, and minor fault rectification. Maintain and troubleshoot

AC systems

, including split ACs, ductable units, and routine servicing. Carry out

plumbing work

such as fixing leakages, blockages, sanitary fittings, pumps, and water supply lines. Perform

basic carpentry work

including door fittings, locks, furniture repairs, hinges, and minor woodwork. Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and service areas regularly to identify maintenance issues. Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs and AMC-related works. Ensure compliance with safety standards, hotel SOPs, and statutory requirements. Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, and daily work reports. Respond promptly to guest complaints and emergency maintenance calls. Monitor proper use of tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory. Support energy conservation initiatives and cost-control measures.
Skills & Requirements

ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant technical field preferred. Proven experience in hotel or facility maintenance (hospitality background preferred). Strong working knowledge of

electrical, AC, plumbing

, and

basic carpentry

. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently. Supervisory skills with the ability to guide technicians and helpers. Basic knowledge of safety practices and preventive maintenance schedules. Willingness to work in shifts and attend emergency calls when required.
