About the role:

Explosive Ordnance Services (EOS) is part of Vehicles and Tactical Systems Country Business Unit. EOS operates 17 depots around Australia to provide a storage, distribution and maintenance service for Explosive Ordnance used by the Australian Defence Force.

You will be the SME of the EO Maintenance functions within the Mangalore Depot in support of the contracted EO Services. This includes providing Maintenance technical advice and assistance to both Mangalore and other regional tier 2 facilities.

  • Manage teams that carry out Maintenance functions & activities in accordance with technical qualifications within approved procedures
  • Supervise and conduct technical inspection, repair or modification of EO as directed
  • Maintain technical integrity standards of all maintenance activities & providing technical advice to the management team
  • Schedule EO activities as well as conducting independence maintenance inspections
  • Maintain and amend workshop technical publications & relevant instructions
  • Provide training and reporting requirements
  • Review and make recommendations upon changes to quality work instructions
  • Oversight the management of operational demands at EO Depot Mangalore
  • Provide direction in the training and the development of staff
  • Ensure Compliance with EO Services environmental, quality, safety & administrative policy and procedures
How About You?
  • Cert IV in Public Safety (Explosive Ordnance) and Frontline Management or equivalent
  • Previous experience within a similar role with demonstrated knowledge in working with Explosive Ordnance (Class one)
  • Proven experience in personnel management
  • Good oral and written communication skills, able to communicate with all levels of the organisation
  • Experience within the Defence, Logistics, EO would be highly advantageous
