WFO Note: Offshore resource for Apigee needs to help us on performing apigeex development, operations & support activities as the main role. Work schedule would on second shift (work with onsite team: 2pm 11pm IST) & only during holidays might need weekend support on need basis Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Apigee API Engineer role is responsible for the development, design, implementation and support of business-critical APIs and interfaces built on GCP ApigeeX API management platform. You will work with vendors, cloud partners, and other internal groups to evaluate supporting new technologies, industry specific use cases and architectures based on business needs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above At least 2 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks. At least 1 - 3 years of experience in Enterprise Integration and Middleware Solutions. Good understanding in API Development, Operations, and Life-Cycle Management Good understanding of API Security and Access Control (OAuth/SAML, TLS, OpenAPI, HMAC, JWT,OpenID connect, SSL etc.) At least 2 years of project experience with designing and implementing APIs using Apigee Experience in Apigee API proxy development using Apigee builtin policies Good understanding of javascript, Node.js , XSLT code & able to write script based on application needs Good understanding of cURL, postman, apache jmeter or any other testing tools Good understanding of API best practices and performance tuning Additional knowledge on IBM DataPower gateway or IBM APIM is added advantage Good understanding of Google cloud Networking & Security concepts At least 2 years of experience with Apigee as a shared middleware platform from architecture to deployment and operations including but not limited to the following: API Analytics - generation of custom reports and integration with external tools like Splunk Developer portal setup and customization Knowledge of build and deployment methodologies with Apigee across environments using CI/CD Jenkins pipeline & code repository Strong knowledge of Apigee implementation configurations High availability, load balancing and failover configurations with Apigee Gateway and security management Analysis of Apigee logs to identify and resolve issues Job Responsibilities: Working from offshore on designing, implementing, and operating Apigee X & other Enterprise API Platform technologies. Produce all required design specifications, work with the various internal project teams to create detailed technical task lists, provide technical guidance to the project team, and enforce Apigee project standards and best practices Use Apigee recommended best practices and application inputs to produce design artifacts and technical implementation tasks required for project execution Design, build, test, operationalizing the Apigee gateway for the upper and lower regions as well as the items to support clients and integrations Work with the platform team to implement the requirements of infrastructure components In cooperation with application teams, build and execute API functional and performance test plans About the company Sun Technologies is a US-based software services with offshore operations, India and have been in business for over 25 years with many Fortune 500 clients including AT&T and Alcatel Lucent.
