We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist - Middleware In this role, you will have: Good knowledge of Unix operating systems and commands, basic understanding of databases, windows OS, LDAP, networking principles, and interoperability, good understanding of the basic concepts of the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE), WebSphere architecture, topology, configuration & management Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat, Apache, Liberty profile, Messaging Queue administration. Understanding of SSL certificate concepts. Technically leading middleware support team Availability to work the shift pattern required for this role, i.e. No shift work required but some out of hours and weekend support will be required from time to time. Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness and ability to quickly adapt to new environments and learn new technologies Used their business knowledge and understanding of customer needs to successfully manage and grow customer relationships Requirements To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Administration and troubleshooting skills of WebSphere Application Server, Liberty profile, Tomcat, Apache, IHS, UNIX Operating System primarily Linux. Experience in Installation, Configuration, Administration and Maintenance of IBM MQ Series and Message Broker on Windows and LINUX Understanding of SSL concepts like key store, trust store, signers, cipher suites and protocols. Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities. Relevant DevOps tooling and Agile concepts Suggest & implement best-in-call industry practices in the projects, as applicable.
