Linux Admin 6 to 8 Years of LINUX System Administration experience (e.g. effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems software) Ability to review and comment on how the 3rd party is maintaining and configuring the systems Oversee server configurations for production Review and comment on the installation and configuration procedures Review and comment on the creation, configuration, upgrading and configuring of the system software that supports the IT infrastructure applications Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks When needed, perform daily system monitoring, integrity and availability of server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs When needed perform regular security functions including log review, monitoring of systems and investigation possible intrusions Extensive design and development of scripts in the below languages and code analysis. Scripting languages : Bash / Korn / C Shell /Bourne Review and comment on the daily backup operations process, doing spot checks to ensure it is being performed. Must ensure all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media Perform periodic performance reporting and capacity planning including recommending system and architecture changes to the suppliers Non-Technical: Excellent written and verbal communication, with prior work experience with American/European clients. Work effectively in virtual, geographic dispersed, cross cultural environments. Flexible, team player, \'get-it-done\' personality. Ability to organize and plan work independently. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams. CONTROL M : 5 + Years of experiance in developing software and hardware, installing and configuring systems, creating test structures, reviewing specifications, gathering and analyzing data to identify the strengths and weaknesses of current processes, and implementing solutions against problem areas.
