Job Description

• Should be Linux certified.
• Experience in managing Linux - Ubuntu, Windows, AD / LDAP, Backup / Replication, VMware ESXi Management, HPE Proliant & Dell Power Edge Servers & HPE Storage (including any other brand of servers), System Hardening, Proxy Server, DB - Postgress & Oracle, Nagios, Samba, Slony and AV.
• Manage and administrate all operating systems and their corresponding or associated software. Understanding of Linux Operating system, Windows operating system and should be able to solve Linux issues and Windows issues; also manage communications and connectivity solutions, including local area networks, Websites, intranet, and Internet applications.
• Implementation of concepts like DHCP, DNS and Network Protocols.
• Manage and ensure the integrity of host computers, multiple databases, and data transfer. Should be able to Handle Asset Management software application. Monitor system resource utilization, trending and capacity planning.
• Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user issues
• Distribute and supervise server storage (SAN, SAMBA) space allotments.
• Design and implement a disaster recovery plan for operating systems, databases, networks, servers, and software applications.
• Analyze system or application usage and plan for growth or increases in network capacity. Assess the need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them if required.
