About the position: This job posting is for a software engineer for a mid to senior level position at client end. The position is for WFO. We would prefer candidates who are in Chennai. This is a Senior-level Position requiring excellent technical skills as well as excellent Soft Skills. The ability to professionally communicate with clients and peers is just as important as the technical skills required in this role. The ability to multi-task with excellent Time Management is a core requirement. Proactiveness and Accountability are keys to operational excellence and the same will be expected from the successful candidate. Strong competencies in Linux SA troubleshooting, configuration, support and setup, backup/recovery, and related tasks. Resource needs a solid understanding of environments and other technologies commonly found in the architecture of larger enterprise-class environments. \'Can do\' attitude is critical as well as the ability to be flexible, level-headed under pressure, strong teamwork sensibilities, and a general all-around hard worker. 8+ years of Experience in Linux administration and support Roles and Responsibilities: Provide L2 & L3 level support for Linux OS (Redhat, CentOS, and Ubuntu) administration tasks Experience in Linux OS installation, Software and Patch management Should know how to debug/troubleshoot memory and CPU issues Good knowledge about the Linux system files, boot process and Run levels Familiar with the configuration and maintenance of server and network hardware and peripherals Knowledge on Disk Management with Raid, LVM Managing and creating Volume group, LVM, Snapshots, Recovering LVMs. Scripting as per daily activities needed Hardening and Security implementation in Linux OS Work on Change Management and configuration as per customer requirement Participate Bride call for Major incident /outage troubleshooting 24x7 uptime of IT services to support round the clock business requirement. Provide support for developers and business users requests and queries Ensure that all environment backups are performed successfully Conduct performance monitoring/tuning, and capacity monitoring/planning for all environments Root Cause Analysis - Triage issues, identify patterns, identify dependencies, identify root cause, Eliminate false positives
