Job Duties

The role will require working as part of the Enterprise Risk team to provide support for enterprise-level risk identification, risk appetite and limits, risk analytics, and risk frameworks and policies. Key responsibilities include: n Supporting delivery of Enterprise stress testing policies and procedures according to internal and regulatory standards n Supporting and enhancing the concentration risk framework for Wholesale Risk Pools - Industry, Single Name, Distribution and Focus Products (e.g. Leverage Lending). n Reviewing and challenging enterprise level limits / metrics from a concentration risk perspective in coordination with risk and business management n Monitoring existing and emerging concentration risks to develop relevant concentration risk driven narrative for Senior Management and the Board


Qualification

Mathematics Engineering, Finance, Economics or Quantitative Finance background. Professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, CQF, risk certification – FRM or PRM) and analytical background preferred.


Skills Required

n Experience working on stress testing execution projects within banking institutions n Experience working on similar projects and strong understanding of and/or experience in stress testing processes, risk management frameworks, capital planning, risk taxonomies and risk appetite calibration n Experience in the definition of risk appetite frameworks including limit setting and calibration for multiple risks – including market, credit, counterparty and liquidity risks n Experience in putting together risk policies and procedures n Knowledge of risk registers and risk appetite cascading n Knowledge of stress testing regulatory requirements (including UK and EU prudential regulatory requirements) and related-industry practices. n Effective stakeholder management, experience in facing senior business stakeholders n Excellent documentation skills and self-organizing capabilities n Independent and able to work with little supervision n A team player, comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment n Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills. n Ability to define and document procedures and training to support adoption of changes and embedding within the business n Strong academic background with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Science, Financial Engineering, Statistics or Mathematics with professional certifications like CFA, CQF, FRM, PRM
