Summary UniCourt is currently searching for a lawyer with litigation background to join our new Legal Data Annotation Team. The candidate/team will be responsible for annotating US case dockets and other court filings to create a model for ML analytics processes. Successful candidates must possess a passion for the law and a desire to learn the intricacies of US Court Law and Motion practice.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for annotating US court documents including, but not limited to, dockets, complaints, answers, moving papers and trial related material.
  • Team will annotate court documents to tag and label information such as parties, lawyers, law firms, judges and types of filings so that the other teams can extract the data and build a courtroom data analytics model.
  • Work closely with other team members to create a consistent data model.
  • Provide daily feedback to network and/or software functionality and protocol difficulties.
  • Proactively identify potential issues resulting from variation in court data across the US and communicate the potential issues to the team lead and/or project manager.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving annotation protocols quickly.

Qualifications
  • Graduate/ Masters degree in Law
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in litigation or working with a litigation lawyer

  • Flexibility to work different projects simultaneously.
