You will also provide substantial support to the VP Intellectual Property in certain specific legal issues relating to innovation/IP law by advising and by drafting, reviewing, and helping to negotiate contracts between Bekaert and its business partners. Focus will be to support Legal team covering the ERMEAI region in matters concerning the functions Procurement/Innovation & Technology/Sustainability/Engineering/Safety. Geographic and/or business scope may be extended on an ad-hoc basis where needed. You will work closely together with colleagues from our global Legal Team (EMEAI region primarily) and from other functional domains (such as IP, Sustainability, Procurement, Engineering, Safety etc.), to develop appropriate solutions for all issues brought to your attention. Keeping up with current changes on all relevant areas of laws and contributing to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the company\'s legal function. About You Essential Skills & Competencies Master\'s degree in law. Minimum 5 years of experience gained in international law firm or as a company lawyer in an international legal department of manufacturing industry. Experience in general business law and commercial law preferably with an international dimension. Good contracting skills and experience in the field of procurement contracts. Demonstrated experience and interest in IP law, able to review and advise on IP related agreements and matters such as joint/co- development agreements, license agreements, tech transfer agreements, technology supply agreements, IP enforcement matters, non-disclosure agreements as well as trademark registrations and prosecutions. Clear thinking & communication; strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills including the ability to present and explain complex topics to non-legal audiences. Master English at professional speaker level. Strong organizational and time management skills with a \'can-do\' attitude.
