Job Description


Job Summary Under moderate supervision, responsible for assisting attorneys on various legal activities. Drafts routine legal documents and reports under close attorney supervision. Assists in researching legal issues and administering law department activities. Responsibilities may include updating the company law library with current changes in legislation and for keeping management and staff informed on legislative developments and court actions that impact the company.

Description-

Supporting the global legal teams on a variety of tasks including due diligence, data management, trade compliance, contract management including contract review (e.g. non-disclosure agreements, T&Cs etc.) and agreement repository, MIS reporting, working on internal systems like CLM softwares and legal processes for counsel management including invoicing, whereby all tasks will be based on clearly defined SOP\xe2\x80\x99s. Any other general and administrative legal based support.

The reporting will be to the regional teams as required and there will be close collaboration with the regional teams.

Qualification required-

  • LLB degree or any Post Graduate degree
Experience required-
  • 3-5 years working experience in any organization\xe2\x80\x99s legal team or law firm or legal process out-sourcing centers supporting the Legal team.
  • Good English and communication and collaboration skills required to work with teams based in different countries around the globe.
Responsibilities of the Role-
  • Receive and distribute incoming legal mail (electronically), according to an established- Incoming Legal Standard Operating Procedure
  • Populate -Tymetrix or T360 (Avantor\xe2\x80\x99s legal matter management and billing platform) with data solicited and received from outside vendors (project likely to take several weeks)
  • Routinely establish/open new matters in Tymetrix (legal matter management program) according to an established Standard Operating Procedure, by soliciting information from in-house attorneys and outside counsel
  • Using a Standard Operating Procedure, compile and submit documentation to Finance/Accounting to obtain checks and wire payments for legal settlements and vendor payments
  • Assist Legal Operations with financial reviews and audits of payments to vendors
  • Prepare correspondence on company letterhead per attorney and paralegal instructions
  • Manage Outlook calendars and schedules for the Litigation and Employment Law team (attorneys and professionals)
  • Submit expenses for the team
  • Order office supplies and assist with planning travel and team events
  • Work for the Americas legal team
