The role holder is part of the Training Delivery & Documentation Pillar of Excellence.The role holder will be responsible for aspects of the implementation, administration and co-ordination of the Learning Management System (LMS), driving process improvements throughout the Global Training Team, stakeholders and customers.

The role holder will oversee the creation of new processes relating to the LMS including developing plans for adding, reducing and changing processes to support the global business needs.

The individual will ensure a professional and efficient collaboration with cross-functional teams. The individual will support with training recertification requirements globally.

Duties & Responsibilities

What you\'ll do -
  • Administer the running of the LMS including continuous improvement to improve User Experience
  • Responsible for generating monthly reports and support data analysis for Line Manager (as required)
  • Provide assistance to stakeholders in the creation of reports
  • Creation of new user accounts for internal employees and suspension of unused accounts
  • Facilitate LMS improvements and ensure staff are following released LMS policies & guidelines
  • Liaise with the Global Training Operations Team to ensure LMS processes continue to meet business requirements
  • Administer & configure User access, permissions and roles within the LMS
  • Administer Learning Object audience permissions
  • Act as department Point of Contact for LMS User issues and provide troubleshooting support to all users
  • Create and maintain a Learning Object (LO) naming convention
  • Build & Maintain LO Certifications in consultation with Training Operations
  • Assist the Online Training Team with loading and maintenance of eLearning content on the LMS
  • Identify and escalate any obstacle that may negatively impact LMS functionality and User Experience
  • Comply with Company health, safety and environmental policies
  • Have an awareness of Works Council agreements and Information Security Management System (ISMS) to aid in LMS configuration compliance
  • Liaising with MarComms to ensure User Experience is in-line with SD Branding Guidelines
  • Liaising with LMS vendor to ensure timely resolution of support or technical issues
  • Manage implementation of LMS Vendor updates, informing internal stakeholders, as appropriate
  • Act as Point of Contact with Smiths Business Information Services (BIS) to resolve any SSO, datafeed or minor related issues
  • Supporting with the quoting and facilitation of training recertifications
The Individual

What you\'ll definitely need -
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Learning Technologies or Information Systems administration
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing & working with LMS
  • Experience as an LMS Coordinator or Technical Support preferred
  • Computer literacy is essential, proficient in use of all programs within MS Office Suite
  • Proactive with excellent organisational skills
  • Experience within a training development and delivery department, is preferable
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills evidenced by an ability to write briefs
  • Business fluent in written and spoken English Demonstrate initiative to identify & solve operational challenges and the ability to maintain good working relations with people of diverse skills and cultural backgrounds
