Job Description

The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for managing all training and development initiatives across the hotel to enhance employee performance, service standards, and guest satisfaction. This role ensures that all hotel staff are trained according to brand standards, local compliance requirements, and departmental needs, fostering a high-performing and guest-centric culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs including orientation, brand standards, guest service excellence, health & safety, and leadership development. Conduct regular training needs assessments in collaboration with department heads and the HR team. Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions for front-line, supervisory, and managerial staff. Maintain up-to-date training records, attendance logs, and compliance tracking using the hotel's Learning Management System (LMS). Partner with operational departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, etc.) to ensure on-the-job training aligns with brand service expectations. Monitor training effectiveness through feedback, performance evaluations, and guest satisfaction scores. Champion a culture of continuous learning and employee engagement. Organize cross-training programs to support staff flexibility and career development. Manage external training vendors and coordinate certifications (e.g., food safety, first aid). Stay current with industry best practices and integrate innovative training methods (e.g., e-learning, gamification).
