Job Description

The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for driving the hotel's learning culture by designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that enhance employee performance, guest satisfaction, and service excellence. This role ensures that all team members, from entry-level to management, are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to uphold the hotel's standards and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities: Training Design & Delivery:



Assess learning and development needs across departments. Design and implement learning programs including onboarding, service excellence, technical training, compliance, leadership, and soft skills. Facilitate engaging in-house training sessions for various levels of staff and leadership. Coordinate with department heads to support departmental training and cross-training initiatives.

Talent Development:



Develop career progression and succession planning frameworks. Identify high-potential employees and support growth through mentoring and coaching. Implement leadership development programs to build internal management capabilities.

Compliance & Standards:



Ensure compliance with local laws and company policies regarding employee training and certifications (e.g., health & safety, food handling, data protection). Maintain training records and documentation in line with internal audit and brand standards.

Collaboration & Communication:



Partner with department managers to support business goals through targeted learning interventions. Collaborate with the HR team to align learning initiatives with employee engagement and performance management. Work closely with hotel brand/corporate L&D teams (if applicable).

Monitoring & Evaluation:



Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Continuously improve programs based on learning outcomes and operational results.

Qualifications & Skills:



Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Education, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in training or L&D, preferably in hospitality. Strong presentation, facilitation, and coaching skills. Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus. Multilingual abilities and understanding of diverse cultures are an advantage.
