Summary

The Learning Coordinator is responsible for supporting the delivery and execution of best in class learning and development programs.

Drives initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function and interfaces with other functions to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Individuals who oversee aspects of coordination, logistics and support for training and/or learning programs. Responsibilities may include calendar management, budget management, POs, facility management, vendor management, etc. May include individuals who may act as Program/Project Manager over assigned course(s). Includes Training Coordinators, Regional Learning Delivery Leaders, Learning Operations Managers, Delivery Operation Specialists, Learning Demand Managers, and Faculty Excellence Managers.
  • Manage the administration of Learning programs associated with Edison program and other technical, non-technical and hardware trainings
  • Partner with Learning and Operations team member(s) on key projects and initiatives
  • Track and report relevant learning metrics and flag trends for decision making
  • Provide insights for improving participant experience and simplifying processes
  • Provides expertise in analyzing learning needs, designing training solutions for a business or function. Focused on technical training essential for a particular business or function, and does not include Leadership Learning, which falls within HR. Includes trainers and coordinators whose main task is to deliver the training content or make logistical arrangements for training programs.
  • Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Required Qualifications
  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires basic experience in the Engineering/Technology & Training Design and Delivery. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
