Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering
  • 8 /10 years of experience in sourcing, supplier development & procurement in in Auto Component
  • 3-4 year of hands-on experience on product costing, formulating commercial contracts
  • Knowledge of quality systems and project management.
  • Should be familiar with incoterms
  • Knowledge on Vendor development /Quality check methodology
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written & verbal)
  • Relationship with suppliers as well as customers – Internal and External
  • Cross Functions Team Working Skills due to Matrix Organization reporting

This exciting role offers opportunity to:
  • This position involves sourcing of parts required for VG-After Market (Support Aftermarket growth in the “Buy & Sell” model) for VG in India. This includes achieving material cost, managing material inflation / deflation & supporting materials team to meet production and inventory control
  • Identify right (technically and commercially) suppliers to support AFM growth and product expansion
  • Preparing a complete RFQs and sending these RFQs to strategic suppliers. Clarifying technical and commercial issues related to RFQs.
  • Review & comparison of quotations. Negotiate pricing with suppliers to meet the target costs estimated in business case.
  • Get aligned with regional category managers for supplier selection and inflation mgt.
  • Monitor and track the commodity trends.
  • Develop a strong Supplier - Eaton relationship with a partnership concept.
  • Initiate, lead cost reduction projects/VAVE to drive cost outs as per profit plan.
  • Work along with SDE for capacity improvement and cost reduction, Including identifying new mfg technologies.
  • Implementation and adherence to the Eaton Business System related to SCM Function.
  • Demonstrate very high level of Integrity and Drive compliance to the Eaton Code of Ethics and hold suppliers accountable for ethical conduct in all the transactions.
  • Adherence to regulatory requirements and governance.
  • Supplier Relation Management: Manage supplier Relationship with key stake holders across supplier structure and ensure seamless flow of business, regular supplies, handling quality concerns with prompt actions and managing the payment cycle.
  • Forecast & Schedule Release: Work closely with Aftermarket sales team for forecast and work with materials team on ramp up/down for respective projections. Decide division between internal plant and vendors for certain products if required.
  • Demand Consolidation & Supplier Management: Work with materials team on VMI/Inventory programs /supplier viz.
  • Work closely with materials and planning team of two Eaton VG plants to align timely receipt of material based on customer demand.
  • New Product Release/Vendor Identification: Work closely with sales, business development, Supplier development , Quality and engineering team and work with existing vendor or Identify to successfully release new products and solutions in the market.
  • Communication & Predictability: Regular and organized flow of communication with internal stakeholders giving clear views on demand v/s supply schedules vs supplier capacity
  • Work with suppliers on improvement initiatives like – Drop shipments, Supplier end packing and labeling
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing team to look for supplier partners for range extension and product expansions
  • Stay vigilant on any risk to due to supplier challenges or expanding directly in the market
