Description
The Network Operations Specialist focuses upon the provision of network operations advice and administration and provides monitoring, operation and management of efficient and effective networks services fulfilling the Vodafone Strategy. The Network Operations Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in monitoring network nodes, executing event/incident management, configuration, escalation, release and deployment and 3rd party management activities, ensuring a high quality, reliable network service is available to our customers. Typically reports to the Network Operations Manager.
Job Responsibility
- Requirement Analysis of B&R platform integration request to provide right solutions using available B&R services.
- Liaising with B&R integration supplier/vendor for on time delivery of the solution.
- In-house integration up to 30% of overall project yearly without vendor support including documentation to show case as team efficiency.
- Setting up an altogether new Backup and Restore Platform in a new Data center
- Maintaining a schedule for the hardware/Software maintenance for pro-active notification to respective stakeholder.
- Proactively Identify platform issues/risks and provide essential mitigation.
- Work with OSS lead and share input on project lesson learned, areas of improvement, OSS Service Target, Roadmap.
- Perl/Shell scripting development to apply/maintain/improve B&R solution.
