Job Description


Our team is now looking for an entrepreneur that will work with our leadership team to quickly design and implement a go-to-market strategy for the local and \xe2\x80\x9csustainable\xe2\x80\x9d food industry. This role will primarily be a business development role that interacts with a variety of stakeholders in the B2B procurement space, including producers, value-added companies, distributors, and institutional buyers. Beyond the sales aspect of this role, you will serve as a bridge between our data science, design, and engineering teams for the Food and Beverage industry. The best practices you establish in sales, marketing, product/market fit, business development, and operations will inform the other markets we currently work in (Plants and Flowers; Textiles, Yarns & Fibers, PPE & Medical). In this role, you will be joining a fast-growing, employee-owned company dedicated to advancing a more sustainable, transparent, and efficient food value chain. Responsibilities: - You will need to lean on your existing entrepreneurial experience to identify the optimal product / market offering for the local food and beverage space. You will leverage best practices in commerce, certification, and shared ownership that we have established in other verticals, but in many ways, you will be building the offering from the ground up. - You will engage and interact with potential clients and partners/vendors during feedback sessions, support sessions, demos and requirements gathering. - You will need to create an offering that truly services producers. Most existing \xe2\x80\x9ctech solutions\xe2\x80\x9d have alienated farmers and growers and do little to change the underlying market structure that bifurcates price and quality (with quality being a proxy for sustainability). - You will be the bridge between marketing, data science and engineering to quickly move to product/market Qualifications: - Commitment towards and intentionality around incorporating impact into your career choices - Existing entrepreneurial experience - You are a sales/business development person at your core, rather than a \xe2\x80\x9cproduct manager\xe2\x80\x9d. You understand that at the end of the day, all that matters in this market is increasing the availability and access to high quality, local and sustainable food. - You will work remotely somewhere between New Jersey and Maine for the foreseeable future and, as such, are a self-starter. - You have a seasoned entrepreneurial mindset, with field experience in creating strong business cases for short, medium and long-term growth. - Fluency in English and in at least one other language. - Minimum of 2-4 year of experience as an entrepreneur. Must be able to demonstrate, quantitatively, past performance in interview. - Experience in B2B SaaS businesses, preferably in B2B eCommerce or transactional marketplaces. - Motivated self-starter that has the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment. - You are comfortable with project management i.e. negotiations, time management, and cross-functional teamwork. - You have exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate, influence and drive consensus among team members and various management level. - You can translate complex concepts to easily understandable statements, charts, or presentations Job Type: Full-time Salary: 923,000.00 - 925,000.00 per month Benefits:
