The role is responsible for providing information, analysis, forecasting, and insights to the management team and also assist in Business Planning exercise with the objective of effective decision making and planning. Education MBA, BE/ Btech Experience 12-15 Years (Commercial vehicles, Auto-sector companies, Consultancy, cement/ steel other core sectors, transportation industry; EA to top management/ Strategy function role would be an added advantage.) Business Understanding Understanding of Business processes and Business Plan Understanding of the CV industry Analytical abilities for competition and environment analysis Excel-based data analysis skills Understanding of macro-economic factors and their impact on the CV industry Understanding of various sectors like coal, cement, steel, etc. and impact on CVs Basic financial analysis, analysis of Union Budget Coordination skills for coordination with all VECV divisions for BP, BP kick-off and various other reports Excellent presentation skills (on MS Powerpoint) and good writing skills Area of Responsibility Business intelligence and MIS Tracking and analysis of Macroeconomic indicators, Volume trend analysis for trucks and buses, Competition updates, Quarterly financial analysis of major competitors - TML, ALL, SMLI, Market updates for EMT Union Budget analysis relevant to the CV industry (with a focus on the road, rail, housing/ real estate, coal sector) In order to provide necessary inputs to the management team for decision making in the short term Keeping them abreast of the latest market updates Business Planning Coordination with all BUs/functions for BP, Preparation of approach notes, cover letters, etc Consolidation of Business Plan for Board- subcommittee review, Board review and final updation of the BP Integration of key initiatives across the functions Business areas Close monitoring the progress of top KRAs Preparation of BP booklet giving highlights of the year and highlights of the BP Coordination for BP kick-off meetings Other monthly reports for top management/ coordination for reports Communication to employees draft for CEO, Corporate presentation, 1st of the month report - draft for CEO, Updation of VECV Governance structure, Lead Metrics, Coordination of VVCC Ad hoc reports from top management/ special studies Many reports/presentations are being made for the top management as per special requirements Eg Presentations made for the Board (CV industry outlook, business outlook, going forward, etc); Analysis of the economic situation and outlook in the short to medium term as required by EMT; Study of the new WPI/ CPI/ GDP series; Detailed report on imports giving details of oil and non-oil imports; etc
