Key Responsibilities
1.Project Execution
Supervise installation of switchyard equipment: circuit breakers, isolators, CTs/PTs, busbars, and lightning arresters
Coordinate civil and electrical works including cable trenching, earthing, and control room setup
Monitor progress and ensure alignment with project timelines and milestones
2.Technical Oversight
Review and validate Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings, and Bill of Quantities (BOQs)
Ensure compliance with IS/IEC standards and grid codes
Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and type testing of equipment
3.Testing & Commissioning
Conduct relay testing, protection coordination, and functional checks
Ensure healthiness of auxiliary systems (AC/DC supply, battery banks, fire protection)
Lead energization procedures and system handover
4.Quality & Safety
Implement Field Quality Plans (FQP) and ensure adherence to safety protocols
Conduct inspections and audits to maintain construction and operational standards
Resolve site issues including Right-of-Way (ROW), logistics, and contractor coordination
