We\'re looking for an exceedingly talented Lead Software Engineer to work as part of the Events Platform Development team in Content Technology. As a Lead Software Engineer , the person will be responsible to maintain the existing code base, improve by providing appropriate solutions and helping drive initiatives to bring customer value and improve service. The person will have to work closely with content/product teams, existing team members, leads and architects to ensure that technical choices are aligned with the overall architecture of our products. Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities: . Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code based on User Stories. . Develop software using disciplined software development processes, adhering to team/company standards and software best practice guidelines, and corporate policies. . Work with the scrum master and management to coordinate and deliver larger developments. . Ensure that there is a focus on software quality through effective testing, doing what is necessary to provide a framework for teams to understand the quality of our developments. . Work closely with the QA team to ensure that code is developed to a high quality, evidenced through automated testing. . Leading the design of components, ensuring that they adhere to the application architecture . Provide technical support to operations or other development teams . Create, review, and maintain all required technical documentation to ensure supportability and reuse . Review work of peers and more junior developers. . Assist with improvements to prevent problems, including problem resolution workflow. . Participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work. . Actively participate in team and status meetings, providing timely status updates for areas of individual responsibilities within projects to supervisor Essential Skills/Experience Required: . Years of Experience - 5-8 years . Should have excellent knowledge of Core Java language, Spring boot, Elastic Search, Hbase and AWS Tech Stack. . Solid grasp of object-oriented programming. . Experienced with Spring boot . Familiar with Elastic Search, Hbase and its implementation using Java plugins. . Familiar with Kafka, TIBCO . Familiar with XML based implementation. . Familiar with any of the RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL server) . Familiar with various design patterns. . Familiar with RESTful interfaces, webservices . Self-starter - does what it takes to get the job done . Excellent communication skills, verbal and written . Skill for writing clean, readable code and reusable components . Proficient using source code management tools such as Git or GitHub or DX1 . Proficient in doing Jenkins or puppet based builds/deployment with source repo being Git or GitHub or DX1 . Experienced in a formal agile software development lifecycle . Familiar with continuous build and integration . Experience with Test Driven Development and / or Behavior Driven Development Education & Experience . Bachelor\'s in computer science or Related Field. . At least 5-8 years of experience in software engineering. . Experience in handling projects with tight deadlines . Working with stakeholders across geographical boundaries.
