The Lead Software Engineer II for Leica Biosystems is responsible for, Design, Develop, Unit Test new software for device to connect with external solutions/applications Deliver the features on-time to the market Sustain the releases that are delivered to the client Own the build and deployment of components for development needs Practice agile methodologies and work along with scrum team to meet team goals .Document design documentation and create UML diagrams for representing design and architecture Define & Own the interface specification document This position is part of the LBS Core Histology business unit located in Bangalore and will be hybrid. You will be a part of the RemoteService and report to the Engineering Manager responsible for end-to-end delivery of RemoteService solution across PAN LBS. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Use cutting edge technology and develop connectivity software that connects medical devices using Azure IOT End-to-end exposure to product development Opportunity to work in CI/CD development The essential requirements of the job include: 10+ years experience of programming in C++ for Linux & Windows multitasking operating systems in embedded systems with focus on Device-/Application-/GUI-Layer development Strong knowledge of object-oriented design using design patterns and design principles. Strong in multithreading concepts synchronizations and IPC mechanisms. Strong in network programming, network communication concepts. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience in developing & building connectivity components using C++ Qt Knowledge on Azure IOT and Azure IOT SDKs Knowledge of shell, python scripting will be a plus. Familiarity with communication protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, REST and HTTPS. Familiarity with secure coding practices and cybersecurity fundamentals.
