Lead Security Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 Network and Security Solutions engineering


As a Lead Security Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 Network and Security Solutions engineering, your role will consist in defining, assessing, and creating Network/Network Security solutions for our Air Transport Community\xe2\x80\x99s customers. This includes participating in the overall development or incubation lifecycle (i.e. from technical requirements to architecture designs, implementation, testing, etc.), by combining your technical and personal skills with other stakeholders.


Our Network and Security solutions generally consist of a mix of:

• 
  Highly available and resilient infrastructure
  

• Network components (WAN/LAN, of various types)

• 
  Security components (Firewalls, IPS Devices, Load Balancer Technologies, Encryption Devices, Proxies etc.)

• 
  Zero Trust principle practices

• 
  Public and private Cloud components (servers, applications, and related technologies of various types)

• 
  Automation for networks and security deployment/maintenance (API, orchestration, CI/CD \xe2\x80\xa6)

What you will do

• Create and validate Functional and non-functional technical requirements
• 
  Translate Functional and non-functional technical requirements into specifications and architecture blueprints and designs.
• 
  Assess Market solutions to determine fit/value-added (incl. Hardware & Software)
  
• Build High-Level & Low-Level Architecture Designs to ensure integration with existing components
• 
  Build and configure test environments that include among other things: Virtual servers, switches, routers, firewalls, cloud environments and their integration into various other systems.
• 
  Design and build virtualized solutions based on type 1 hypervisor technologies
• 
  Defining test strategies to ensure compliance with requirements.
• 
  Lab validation/testing of different vendors equipment/solutions as well as co-existence with other environments/solutions.
• 
  Estimate work effort, costs, schedules & milestones.
  
• Support of pilot site(s) / Proof-of -Concepts.
• 
  Documentation for various populations ranging from Pre-Sales, Technical Design Authorities, as well as operations and delivery guides. In addition, required documentation abilities include the creation of training, installation guides, and configuration templates with API Integrations in mind.

  Travel up to 25%

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

• 
  8+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in an IT environment.
• 
  Strong knowledge and practical experience in converged/integrated network security solutions
  
• SD (software-defined) network and security architectures and solutions
• 
  Systems architectures and solutions integration
  
• Knowledge and practical experience with main or emerging suppliers/solutions vendors.
  
• Understanding/creating technical requirements and specifications based on end product requirements
• 
  Very good documentation, reporting and presentation skills
  
• Innovative (\xe2\x80\x9cout of the box thinking\xe2\x80\x9d) & curious mindsets
• 
  Strong knowledge of standard engineering principles, theories, concepts and methodologies (Requirements definition/analysis, design, tests, documentation ..)
  
• Team spirit, hard worker
  
• Quick learner with strong abstraction skills
  
• Ability to work in an international environment, in distributed virtual teams
• 
  Well organized
  
• Very Good English written and spoken
  
• Ability to challenge

TECHNOLOGIES

• 
  TCP/IP (routing and switching), IT Infrastructure services (i.e.: DNS, DHCP VNF, Certificate Authorities/PKI, SNMP)
• 
  Proven expertise with large network and network security solutions architecture, design, and implementation
• 
  Strong multivendor/multi-solution expertise for network and security (Juniper/Aruba switch/routers families and/or other vendors)
• 
  Network Security (Firewalls, 802.1X, VPN technologies, EDR, cloud security, PKI) such as Palo Alto NGFW (physical & virtual) and Cortex Solutions, Fortinet Fortigate,
• 
  Network and cloud networking automation (frameworks, orchestration, tools, scripting, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as (but not limited to): Ansible and Terraform\xe2\x80\xa6)
• 
  Cloud services and architectures (Public and private clouds)
• 
  Virtualization for network and security (VNF) such as VMWare stack (vSphere/ESXi, NSX), ADVA\xe2\x80\xa6

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

• 
  Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related fields
• 
  Industry Network and Security Certifications desirable
