Role Lead SDET (Automation Test Engineer Playwright with Python)
: SDET (Sr. Functional and Automation Test Engineer Playwright with Typescript/Python)
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Playwright with Python. The candidate will be responsible for both functional testing and test automation, ensuring end-to-end quality of product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Perform functional testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright with Typescript/Python.
Automate regression, functional, and integration test cases.
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Debug, analyze, and report test failures, ensuring timely defect resolution.
Maintain test documentation, test data, and provide test coverage metrics.
Conduct exploratory/manual testing in areas where automation is not feasible.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in software testing (both manual & automation).
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (mandatory) and scripting in Typescript/Python.
Solid understanding of testing concepts (functional, regression, smoke, integration).
Knowledge of test frameworks (Pytest or similar).
Experience with API testing (Postman/RestAssured).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
Strong debugging and analytical skills.
Good to Have
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with test management tools like TestOps, Jira, TestRail.
