Job Description


Summary

As Senior Scheduling Leader you will report to NUHDGT Asia Pole Scheduling Leader and you will be responsible for leading Scheduling efforts for a large, complex TK project and work on strategic & continuous improvement initiatives. This will include supporting the project management team as well as the cross functional organization to deliver the project on time. As a subject matter expert, you will assist troublesome projects as well as drive the implementation of standardization, best practises & schedule monitoring systems.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Develops the MTS as the integrated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project control schedule, based on contract scope requirements, in co-operation with all involved scope owner parties, to establish optimal work sequences

  • Develop and Maintain the Master Time Schedule (MTS) and Site Time Schedule (STS) as the integrated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project schedule for Turn-key projects, based on contract scope requirements, in co-operation with all involved parties (including partner), to establish optimized work sequences.
  • Integration of Product Lines and partner’s sub-schedule into overall EPC Master Time Schedule. Define schedule interface points, templates & process for effective schedule integration / update
  • Updates the MTS and prepares all Project scheduling Reporting on a monthly / Weekly basis, highlighting critical areas to the Project Director and Project Team. Prepares the STECO and other input for Senior Management.
  • Develop overall Scheduling KPIs (on time delivery, key milestones, key commodity physical progress etc).Develops, updates, and delivers the Client Schedule and Client Monthly Report
  • Participates in Client meetings on planning, and progress matters
  • Proactively manages internal and external project activities by closely monitoring the critical paths and the project float
  • Travel to site and spend time at project site as needed.
  • Build & maintain project templates by plant configuration. Work with relevant functions to maintain durations up to date. Build a registry of historical lead times & lesson learned.
  • organise monthly ‘schedule deep dives’ providing guidance & insights to project and senior management
  • Perform delay / Forensic Analysis of delays due to Customer, Partner and Sub-Contractors to assist project and contract management in EOT (Extension of Time) claims..
  • Support key NPI (New Product Introduction) programs and develop optimized schedules together with Product Leadership & Engineering integrated into the MTS
  • Perform ‘what if’ scenarios to evaluate schedule implications in case of cost out activities
Required
  • Extensive experience in a Project Controls (scheduling and cost control) function within an EPC environment, including execution of several projects with significant site exposure
  • Knowledgeable on Earned value analysis
  • Knowledge of power plant principles and work processes in an engineering, procurement and construction environment
  • Strong experience in Primavera P6, PS and CMS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to lead large complex project team reviews as well as to simplify complex messages
  • At least experience of 5+ TK projects execution for Gas Business (at least one CCPP or Add on project), from NTP to substantial completion
  • Strong interpersonal and leaderships skills to manage internal cross-functional teams, partner and customer communication
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver while handling large numbers of diverse tasks
  • High energy level - self-starter
  • Resilience and ability to work under pressure
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Knowledge of 4D planning
  • Knowledge of rotating machines
  • Experience in cost control management
  • Experience in Extension of time claims / forensic planning
  • Experience in delivering planning/scheduling/project control training
  • Master’s Degree in Business or advanced degree
  • Strategic thinker with a track record for developing innovative solutions to difficult Business problems
  • Diligent, dedicated and detail oriented with technical knowledge of product lines and associated systems
