Roles and Responsibility Job Summary Local Product Manager for managing performance of the Trade Receivable Finance business including revenue and costs Lead - Product Operations & Risk A unique Local Product role to manage the product operations and risk. Knowledge of product range, SCB systems, Process Universes are an advantage combined with a knowledge of operational risk, testing and methodology. Strategy To execute the Global Transaction Banking (TB) Trade Product strategy for India for Receivable Services / Factoring and other assigned Products Delivering Trade Revenues, Drivers and product commercialization initiatives for India Execute Trade Product strategy at a country level Provide input to Central Trade Product heads, in refining and developing strategy and enhancing products Commercialization: Accountable for aggressive commercialization of key high revenue generating trade products across the region Drive Segment development strategies to maximize product penetration Lead sales campaigns for targeted clients to increase A&C and increase in transaction volumes Work with Central Product and ITO in developing and delivering the Target Operating Model which will optimize delivery of the strategy Business Accountable for performance of the Trade business including revenue and costs Clients Lead and manage RFP and non-RFP trade pitches in consultation with Sales, Trade/TB head and RFP team Post sales implementation: Ensure implementation team is well trained on new products and handhold implementation of complex products when required Product Rollouts Lead and manage rollout of innovative concepts including partnerships with third party providers, rollout of products available in other regions P&L Management: Revenue Maintain control over revenue through FTP management in consultation with ALM and ensure revenue realization process in place Cost Management of cost allocations in consultation with finance, business performance managers and PMO teams Management Improve products capabilities across trade services Successful commercialization across segments and regions for products Continued Engagement with clients to stay updated on market requirements, emerging trends and competitor moves Market Advocacy Represent SCB in committees and working groups including at, SWIFT, and RBI Processes Manage the delivery of Trade strategies, including investment, appropriate governance and oversight Own all the Trade product processes and ensure standardization where necessary with the Group processes Accountable to risk control owners and/or Group policy owners for the implementation of policies and control standards set by them, ensuring compliance, and operating within risk tolerance and risk appetite Collaborating with the Central Product Team on India associated initiatives to improve current offerings and functionality Process and Governance Own all the Trade product processes and ensure standardization where necessary with the Group processes Accountable to risk control owners and/or Group policy owners for the implementation of policies and control standards set by them, ensuring compliance, and operating within risk tolerance and risk appetite People & Talent Training Lead constant training efforts through class room and remote training for sales, coverage, implementation, product managers and service managers on trade products Risk Management Identify opportunities, threats, and responses to maximize profitability, market share and growth of Trade. Translate market opportunities into new enhanced profitable products and services This includes the production of clear business cases defining product and service features and functionality, target market, profitability projections and any changes required to internal processes and service delivery Governance Identify and mitigate the Operational, Credit, Regulatory and Business conduct risks relating to Trade. Work with operations to improve overall service standards and to ensure that quality of service to customers remains superior to competition Ensure timely renewal of country addendums (CAs) and proactively work with stakeholders to identify and quantify new and existing risks. Regulatory & Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Lead the [India / Trade / Receivable Finance] to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\'s Conduct Principles. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Other Responsibilities Brand and Marketing Build market profile for the Bank and Trade business through development and delivery of country Marketing strategies including proprietary and industry events, articles, publications Participation in proprietary and industry events across the network leading to Opportunity spotting Develop plan for internal marketing of new wins, product rollouts etc within the Bank Roll Out of new products offerings and delivery of regulatory projects. Focus on digitization related new product launch and commercialization.
