Self-starting, passionate and intellectually curious lead storage engineer to join global engineering team. Focus on designing, delivering solutions for dynamic environment with differing scenarios and requirements.

ROLE SUMMARY:
Lead storage SME responsible for multi petabyte NAS data storage estate for LSEG. Key accountabilities will be NAS solution design, implementation, product improvements, projects, and escalation support.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF ROLE:

• 
  Requirements gathering, research and solution design of enterprise level NAS systems
• 
  Completion of proof-of-concepts for new technology when required
• 
  Present solutions to forums and stakeholders
• 
  Work closely with an array of technical, business and 3rd party teams to deliver results
• 
  Solution documentation, procedure creation and validation
• 
  Knowledge transfer and operational training for solutions with operational support teams
• 
  Respond to and resolve escalations from operational support to an adequate standard
• 
  Assist or work in a technical management capability to upskill junior team members, workload management & scheduling, provide time & cost estimates

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• 
  In-depth knowledge of below is must have.
  • 
    Multiple NAS technologies: Dell Powerscale(Isilon), Pure Flashblade, Netapp
  • 
    NAS file permissioning(CIFS/NFS/multi-protocol)
  • 
    NAS disaster recovery technology including but not limited to Superna Eyeglass
• 
  Any experience in any of below would be beneficial.
  • 
    Block storage such as Hitachi, Dell, Pure
  • 
    SAN systems such as Brocade, Cisco
  • 
    Backup and data protection technology such as Rubrik, Cohesity
  • 
    Hybrid multi cloud storage systems, and general knowledge in AWS, Azure
  • 
    Cyber and other security measures in storage systems
  • 
    Regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, DORA and their organizational impact
• 
  Any prior skills in tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, Grafana, ELK would be an added advantage
• 
  Excellent oral and written communication skills, together with good interpersonal skills
• 
  Strong presentation skills: ability to deliver presentations and optimally communicate at all levels within an organization.
• 
  Ability to work with a range of stakeholders including team members, business users, 3rd parties, project managers, senior leadership and answer in-depth questions, accept constructive feedback, and modify work product accordingly.
• 
  Experience in producing and rapidly delivering minimum viable solutions, results focused with ability to prioritize the most impactful work.
• 
  Work independently under minimum supervision from your manager.
