The Opportunity: Avantor is looking for Lead Engineer - QA who can analyze moderately complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configure system settings and options executes unit, integration and acceptance testing and assists in creating specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. What we\'re looking for Education: Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience and/or certificates. Experience : Minimum seven years of extensive QA roledeveloped and executed exploratory as well as Functional & automated tests to ensure software product quality. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in QA Test Case design and Participation in QA Estimation tasks. Experience in mobile testing. Experience with API / UI Testing. Experience working in an agile development process. Specialize in any Automation tool, Tricentis QTest / TOSCA and Appvance. Support business requests, ensuring that the organization adopts common approaches in areas where a global perspective and the sharing of integrated systems. Work flexibly to successfully handle multiple issues and tasks, completing them on time and within budget while exceeding expectations. Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude. QTest, TOSCA, Appvance, JIRA, or Any automation tool. BrowserStack or equivalent Oracle, Postgres, SQL, or any other SOAP UI, REST, or similar SAP S/4 Hana (SAC, C4C, BTP, CFIN, etc ) Major Job Duties & Responsibilities: Create and present the project highlights to the QA team and other stakeholders. Create, Maintain, manage, and enforce the Test plan. Participating and contributing to test scenario creation. Good Experience in creating a Test Review checklist. Perform the review and present results to the Project manager. We need to do a basic smoke test and determine if we are ready to test. Good Experience Set test execution guidelines after seeking the team\'s inputs. Work on test execution. Help new testers catch on with the current application. Report defects Review the defects reported by the team members to make sure that they are valid, not duplicates, and complete in the description. Escalate any showstoppers and make decisions on how to proceed in such situations. Good Experience -Evaluating the exit criteria for when to stop testing. Share the results of the exit criteria evaluation. If all the exit criteria are satisfied, create the test closure report and send it to the stakeholders, providing the official QA sign-off and a list of known issues. Collect details about the overall project- its successes, areas of improvement, lessons learned, best practices implemented, etc. and present them in the project retrospection meeting or document. Notify the BA and dev team that the test documentation (test cases) is ready for review and send the work product. Works with respective team members and/or management to deliver solutions according to requirements defined and prioritized by VWR\'s business. As needed and according to agile development methodologies, participate in iterative development, including sprint planning, daily scrum, release, and retrospective meetings. Performs other duties as assigned. Document all system changes in line with the standard processes. Conduct system testing of configuration changes and drive integration /regression testing. Collaborate with Business leadership Team colleagues on best practice solutions. Collaborate with all other Infrastructure & Operations Support Teams to ensure high systems availability, capacity, and expected performance levels. Create high-quality Testing methodologies that will ensure quality products. Ensure that the automation regression suite is built to reduce functional efforts. How you will thrive and create an impact Identify and Develop Test cases necessary for the Automation Regression suite. Self-motivated and initiative to own tasks and be responsible until the end user is satisfied. Collaborate and Communicate with all teams across the business and ensure the highest quality of deliverables. Contribute knowledge across the teams and collaborate within QA to ensure the highest quality. Commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining a high awareness of best practices in QA discipline-Functional & Automation. Experience in using Test management tools such as JIRA, QTest is a Plus. Experience in database testing and ability to write SQL queries. Experience in web services testing and ability to tweak any cXML scripts. Exposure to ERP/SAP S4Hana systems, Mobile apps & device testing. Exposure to Agile/Scrum practices. Experience with website analysis using various analytics tools, including Google Analytics and internal reporting tools. Able to comprehend business needs and concerns and integrate that understanding into design and implementation. Able to understand application architecture and plan testing strategies and communicate the plan to junior-level team members.
