JOB DESCRIPTION Job Scope Provide support to Front Sales Offices in devising solutions for pervasive sensing / WirelessHART / LORA / Wi-fi etc. Interaction with Third parties like CISCO, Aruba for providing solutions to Emerson customers Work closely with different world area offices. Understand customer specifications document Support building Wireless Field Network proposals for all world areas Support Execution teams in execution of Pervasive Sensing Projects Suggest improvements in products and solutions, wherever needed Train subordinates on technical solutions and updates Support tracking of projects and review process Support updating / maintaining wireless set up in EEEC labs Collaborate with other teams like IT team, other team members as required. Support Front sales team in solution discussions / query resolving with customers Perform outdoor and indoor WiFi site surveys in Oil and Gas, Chemical and other process manufacturing Plants, utilizing site survey tools such as Ekahau and Airmagnet Design Outdoor Industrial WiFi Mesh Networks and Indoor Enterprise-grade WiFi Networks, including wireless and wired infrastructure networks Commission wired and wireless infrastructure projects, with ownership of configuring switches, routers, firewalls, outdoor mesh access points, Wireless LAN controller, and Windows OS industrial tablets Contribute and support in the creation and implementation of designs, specifications, and testing Lead factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning and start up Define scope and execution planning for conceptual (FEED) and design detail Job Competancies Professional Basic instrumentation knowledge Basic network knowledge Knowledge of various wireless technologies like WirelessHART, Wi-Fi, LORA,ISA 100 etc. Knowledge & experience of working on devices like Access points, Gateways, Routers CISCO CCNA Certification or equivalent. Personal Teamwork Interpersonal/Communication Skills Innovation/Improvement Ethics/Integrity Effective English Communication Good Learner Education / Training / Experience Engineering Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Computer / IT Overall experience of 5-7 years with minimum 2-3 years on Wireless technology solutions Good understanding of instrumentation fundamentals, field devices Experience in instrumentation systems- Hardware / software, familiarity with various pressure, flow, temp, Control valves and other field devices, Experience with building network infrastructure, Modbus / OPC communication including COM/DCOM Should have hands on experience of working on Wireless Access points / gateways. CISCO /Aruba product experience is preferred Certification from manufacturers for various wireless products / technologies is preferred Should be able to work remotely on virtual systems - VMware, Hypervisor etc. Information about latest technology trends, concepts -advantage Ability to work, communicate with front office lead and teams Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Experience in designing and deploying secured wireless networks for Control Systems (DCS) Experience in deploying and integrating secured wireless networks within large manufacturing organization\'s Process Controls Domain (PCD) networks
