Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 Release detailed architecture and plans for application and integration schemes of various systems like Engine Management systems, Automatic Transmission, Air Bags, PODs, Electronic Stability , Body control Modules, security systems Inst. Clusters, Climate controls ,Semi active suspension, etc.
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 Release the system design specifications duly bench marking against industry and the best practices to achieve time, cost, and quality targets of the main program
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 Make the teams to create detail designs from the concept/s, to ensure robustness of the respective system by meeting component level and system level design validation requirements. Also styling requirements if applicable.
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 Develop and test the prototype to achieve the functional image of the intended segment by conducting tests on various parameters considering the interfacing aggregates.
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 Ensure that the product development cycle is followed through all the critical steps of MPDS by continuous monitoring and control.
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 Ensure war footing response for closure of critical complaints. Achieve robustness of the product and high customer satisfaction by adopting new simulation techniques and improvements in manufacturing process
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 Preparing a technology road map and monitoring the adherence and execution.
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 System cost should be able to estimate the budget within +/- 15%. Also should be able to outline the Engineering, development cost for hardware and software systems. Also to be able to forecast the tooling cost close to 80% accuracy
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 Unit and development cost \xc3\x82\xc2\x96 should not exceed the budget on technical reasons. In case, exceeding due to new requirements or legislation related requirement, should be able to carry out the viability/ implications on business case
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 Reliability (R/1000) targets to be estimated upfront in the beginning of the project with E and E HOD
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 Performance of the electronic systems i.e. TCF concerns, 3 MIS / customer satisfaction index etc
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 No of processes, engineering standards, testing standards released.
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 To develop and integrate Electronics packages for the vehicle/ aggregate programs, meeting time, quality, cost targets, in the area Body Electronics, Safety, security systems and Audio/ infotainment areas.
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 To integrate and calibrate new feature oriented technologies in electronics area, and take steps towards successful implementation.
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 Create value enhancement to the existing and new products by virtue of conceptualizing and developing new features.
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 To provide support to electrical group for all electronic related issues/concerns as regards to integration, quality, reliability, and EMI/EMC issues.
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 To identify and achieve the potential cost saving areas of electronic systems without compromising functionality and reliability by using cutting edge tools.
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 To reduce the warranty failures of the Body and infotainment systems
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 To develop technology road map for various vehicle platforms.
\xc3\x82\xc2\x95 Mentoring the teams to build in house capability towards a world class design house.
